Bets and I had our first riding lesson yesterday. It was great! Where do I start? Okay, I looked incredible. I really was born to wear riding clothes. Everything was P.E.R.F.E.C.T.
I was assigned Bella, a beautiful black mare with a white star and 2 white feet. She was very sweet and very patient with me. And I have black hair too, so we matched!
There are 8 other students in our riding class, all of them girls. Bets and I didn’t know any of them, but by the end of class, I knew some of their names – so that’s a start!
Yesterday, we practiced getting on our horses, and some basic stuff, like walking with your horse, and grooming, and proper posture. It was very fun and I really worked hard!
Bets was amazing. She helped several of the other girls. She’s a natural on a horse. You know Bets! We can’t wait for our second lesson next Thursday. I think I’ll take Bella some carrots. She’ll like that.
Wish us luck. Oh, and if you have any riding pointers, I could use them!

I go horseback riding too! But since I am still a shortie, I go on a Shetland Pony who is GORGEOUS, a with strawberry white coat, and golden blonde mane and tail! She is very sweet tempered and I give her apples which she slices in half PERFECTLY. I love riding clothes too! I know how to walk, walk with my horse, trot, fast trot, canter, clean, saddle, bridle, take on a trail and brush. I am also a brunette! (goldenbrown hair!) YAY!!!
They call my pony Marilyn, and her nickname is Angel Pony because she is the sweetest out of all the horses! I take it with my sister and this older dude who is 17. My sister has a Chestnut mare named Lady who is firey-tempered like Ginger in black beauty, but, if treated nicely, is a gorgeous, sweet horse. And the older dude has Spot, a tall Black Stallion with a white spot on his belly. They are all so nice! Trails are the best. But once, this 6 year old girl came with us with her foal, a little black one named Rosie, who, at the top of the hill became so excited she started actually GALLOPING at top speed! Poor kid.
Hope you had fun! We even learned jumping position, trotting with one hand on the strap and the other in the air, both hands in the air, and NO hands, both of them on your hips.

A brunette is someone that has brown hair or darker. That's why it says that she's a brunette, and she says she has black hair!
If you and are having a hard time that must mean that Bella is hunhgry or she's tired and don't be too harsh to Bella ok ;)
