So, this morning at breakfast, my mom asked me if I’d like to take some classes this summer. At first, I thought she meant summer school, but she didn’t. She meant things like swimming, Pilates, Yoga or Horseback riding.
I haven’t been on a horse since I was very small, BUT I’ve always wanted to learn to ride well. And Riverdale has a brand new stable; mom said they have the most gorgeous horses.
So, I told her I’d like to check it out. Then I came straight to my room and called Bets. She’s a natural on a horse AND she really enjoyed writing that horse story a couple months ago. Did you know she’s been reading horse stories ever since? She has. My Friend Flicka, Misty, Black Beauty, etc.
Long story short – Bets and I are going out to the new Riverdale Stables tomorrow afternoon and look around. I’ll keep you posted. Hey, do any of you take riding lessons? Thought you might give us some pointers.

Tomorrow I'm doing my grade three piano exam. I've been taking piano for a loooong time now but this is my first exam.
Hey Ron! Ive been on sevrel horses and have taken 1 class on them. Heres 2 funny stories and a tip. The tip is Always make sure your horse is going the same pace as the teachers horse when going on trail rides. Once I was on a trail ride and Echo(my horses name)wouldnt walk it went at its own pace. So I was way behind the lead persons horse and didnt hear them say trot. Everyone started trotting but I was so far behind that Echo cantered! To make matters worse there were HUGE ditches in the middle of the rode and Echo jumped over every single 1 while cantering! I hadnt even learned how to jump or canter yet! Another story was when I went to Fort Brad,we found a stable and went on a trail ride. I was only 8 years old at the time. The problem was the horse loved to roll in the sand and we were on a BEACH! So the whole time he kept trying to roll over on me! Though I never let him have a chance to. Hope You Enjoyed The Stories!
I really love horses i think they are so facinating but i have never riden one like by my self. only at fairs!!!! hope you guys have fun!
Nope...
I used to go riding when I was small...but there was a man holding the reins~^_^
that horse was HUGE!!!!!!!
Dear,Veronica you should take riding lessons it is really fun.
Hey Ron thought I could give you a few pointers i've been riding for about three years!Let me tell you its not that easy, people think its not alote of work but you really have to work hard to get your horse into the right rythym.Remember horses react to the way you react.
So stay calm and they'll stay calm.Remember if you feel tense or paniced they,ll feel you tense up and think its a big deal and start to react.Oh,and if you get a pony to ride remember there usally are tricksters and try to get away with things. At first they try it over to try and test you.Just get mad at him or her no matter how cute they are try over and over to get them to stop like they try to trick you.If your able to stop them there usally fine for the rest the of the lesson.
I'm not very good at riding horses and i'm not a HUGE horse luvr so i never took horse lessons but i hope it goes great for you!! Sounds like fun!
