Another holiday celebration officially ends tonight. I’m talking about the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah. Makes me kinda sad, because I LUV everything about December; I think it has the most holidays of any other month! It’s just so festive!
Hanukkah runs for 8 whole days and the dates change a little every year, but it’s always in December. (If that’s not right, lmk!)
So, Zoe101 and Coral (and Everyone else!), pls tell me all about how YOU celebrated Hanukkah this year!

I know even though I celebrate Christmas I know what the have a little.Here it goes.
There are candle`s in a holder called a Monora and they light it one day they lighted it it was to burn for one day but lasted eight they say it was a Miricle.They have something like a spinning top it`s called a Dreidel I think they play with it.Well I forgot the other thing`s so...

okay, i know it's 5 months later, but i was going through the archives and i can't help myself:
Hannukah is 8 days and nights, it starts the night before the first day (thats the first night). Its always in the same place on the jewish calendar, but on the Roman calendar (the one we use in USA) it is anywhere in December, sometimes going into January. One year it was in November. A menorah is a traditional Jewish candle holder with 7 candle places. There is a special one for Hannukah, however, called a Hannukiah. Hannukiahs have 9 candle places. There is a whole story behind it, go look it up if you want. One candle place is for the shammas, which lights the other candles. You add one more candle each night.
