Not My Area of Expertise, but…

The environment is very important to me. WE have recycling bins in every classroom, but not in the art room or cafeteria, which is stupid because that's where we use the most paper and plastic. And I didn't know there was a day for it, and I'm happy they're is!:)

I'm REALLY big on enviroment. I even write for the school newspaper about the enviroment, and I have Go Green tips, healthy recipes, and the scoop on enviromental issues around the world. Everyone remember to reuse, reduce, and RECYCLE!!!

I think recycling is awesome, because we pollute the a lot Earth and recycling helps reduce the amount of pollution. I recycle when I can. We have Recyle bin in all our classrooms, and my family has one in the garage. Mikayla-san, no offense but please don't use all caps. It's annoying and it hurts people's eyes (or at least mine). The Earth won't explode if we pollute and don't recycle, it but it will be dirty and very unclean, which will make us sick and possibly die.

I recycle a lot, especially paper!
A great system for homes with kids is the use paper that has been typed on on one side as scrap paper to draw on. Any mess-ups can go to recyling!

recycling is very important. here are some tips on recycling:

1) you should ask your dad to buy u a Hybrid car. it'll really save a lot of gas. your dad would be proud of you for caring about the enviroment.

2) make sure not to use styrophoam too much(u probably don't though).

3) when you use a plastic cup, you can put it in the sink, wash it, and reuse it!

thats all i can think of 4 now. i'm proud of u, ronnie, 4 caring about the enviroment!

by the way mikayla, ur wrong. i mean, yes g-d can make the world a better place but he can't do everything for us! trust me i know! i'm jewish and i go to a jewish school, and we learn a lot about this.

God can make the world a better place and do everything for us, He just doesn't do everything for us because He wants us to take responsibility for somethings. (for example, since we're on the topic: recycling)

I dont' really know much about recycling But we recycle in our family and we reuse a lot of stuff!

WE SHOULD RECYCLE! Hundreds of years ago, the Earth wasn't polluted enough to be seriously affected by CFC'S(chlouroflourocarbons, which destroy the ozone layer) and it IS a problem. The ozone layer is in the stratospere and it keeps UV rays(ultra-violet radation, which causes skin cancer and is harmful)out of Earth, so it's very important and CFC's cause holes in the ozone layer, which means that where the hole is, ALOT of UVrays can come and cause damage. We would have terrible living conditions because the Earth would be so polluted and smoggy. Recycling helps because you cut down less trees and plants then, and plants release oxygen, which helps the ozone layer. REcycling is re-using materials that we already have.Everyone should recycle and protect the Earth! I hope u know more about recycling now, Ron, and why it's so important!

the enviroment and animals are VERY VERY important to me!
just think of this:
when you dont recycle, say you just throw it in the trash..the trash man comes and picks it up, takes it to thedump, sometims if they dont have tarps underneath it, sinks into the ground, the tarps keep the ground from getting the trash in it.. and then it can come into your wells of the people near the dump, andhave polluited water, or goes into a stream, then the animals that drink or live in the water could die =*[[[[[
so recycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and we need to save our enviroment, and thats just 1! example out of a million people or me, could give ya

SAVE THE TREES....

Dear Veronica
I have thought about it for a while (some going green tips for you besides recycling because you have probably heard about that a lot) and I finally have come up with something....for Christmas instead of having a poor tree cut down,you should get one of those fake ones! And just to concerve plastick you can try to reuse the fake tree every year. Unlike real trees they don`t rot away!
And Mikayla (such a nice name,I might add!) I understand why you feel that way towards recycling. It will save the Earth if more and more people do it. One person can make a difference!!! For example if you start recycling newspapers they can be reused to make new newspapers,so a tree can be sacrificed! Isn`t that great?!

Thanks Aurora for liking my name.But I still think because its true it cant save the world!The only reason why we have a fake tree is because we have a little sister age 4 and dog age 0 He`ll be 1 on Christmas day!

Maybe yeah,it is highly unlikely that the earth would just explode, but it would be filled with extremely awful living conditions like unbearably hot weather! Not to mention how polluted the earth would be and without as many trees and recycling, the animals who NEED trees to live would die. Recycling does make a difference. Everyone should care about the earth because it belongs to everyone! Hug a tree! :) -Amal*F

My family and I recycle too. A good benefit is that you get some money for recycling or if you don't want to go out to take them to be recycled, you can just drop them into your recycle bin before trash day.

It's good to help the earth. She does so much wonderful things for us and we don't deserve it. She gives us air to breathe, grow food for us to eat, etc.

What we can do to help is up to each of us. Even a little thing like plant a flower on your backyard, or drop an empty can of soda on the recycle bin we can help the earth. Maybe that is why there is so much going on like hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, drouts because the earth is cleansing herself all the pollution we cause. Only God knows for sure, but it's a nice feeling helping the earth.

THE ANSWERS:
1. paper- plastic bags sit in landfills for thousands of years--at least paper bags are easier to recycle. even better: bring your own reusable tote.

2. A REAL ONE!- most evergreens are planted on land that is unsutiable for farming. sutting them doesn't permanently destory animals' habitats, and plating them releases oxygen into the air, which benifits the enviroment. plastic and metal trees arent biodegradable, so they're just waste.

3. certified organic- the USDA sets standards that livestock and crops must meet to be considered "certified organic," foods that are labeled "all-natural" do not have to meet specific guidlines--each brand can define what the claim means.

4. gift bags- wrapping paper is usually tossed after every single use, but it's easy to reuse gift bags. Better: wrap gifts in old tea tins, altoids boxes, or washed chinese takeout containers.

5. aluminum can- it taked more energy to recycle a plastic bottle than it does to make a new one. but using recycled aluminum to make new cans uses 95 percent less energy than creating cans from scratch.

i no surprising that a real tree is better than a fake one..hmm...
but what i think is odd is that #1 that it says paper is better than plastic.. but then #4 it says gift bags are!
hmm you would think sort of that they would include that you could also reuse wrapping paper and that it can be recycled...

and mickayla, recycling CAN save the earth!
it makes us not run out of resources!!!

and i also belive in god! but he lets us live out life the way we want, and he protects us..and also trys to let us belive in him, and also helps save the earth (=D) but he wants US to do our part to belive in him and save the earth!!!!
