So, I’m thinking about taking a new class this semester… well, new for me. You know what it is? The Elements of Poetry! Miss Grundy is teaching it. I’ve always liked poetry and I’d love to learn to write it. Betty says it’s harder than it looks.
So, I’ve been working on this poem for 2 days and I think it’s ready to be seen by the public (that would be YOU :-) ) I know some of you are VERY GOOD at writing poetry so I’m a little nervous about sharing this. Okay, here goes…
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I love my Archie
But Betty does too!
I know it’s not very long, but I think it shows wit and teen angst – which I guess is a good thing in poetry. Look at Romeo and Juliet! Anyway, I could use a little input here.

Why dont you try haiku? The first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7, and the 3rd has 5! Here's an example I wrote with you in mind!
Shopping is her thing,
She just shops until she drops,
Ronnie is her name.
Or you could try a limmerik!
Archie and Betty and Ron,
Red, Brunette, and Blonde!
Though the girls fight,
It turns out alright,
The Archies once more join in song
Groovy poem. :) Well, if you want to take the class, then take it. It may be hard, but if you try your best and study, it'll be a sinch. :)

Ron if you think they write poems like that in that class you shouldn't go.They are going to be writing about thoughts feeling in ways that most people are still pondering about.I may only be in sixth grade but I'm doing that kind of stuff in class.So I think that you should not take that class.

That's not really that sad. Oh heres a poem I wrote that's sad! It's about a girl who's friends made new friends and moved on. Note : This was my first ever poem (I've gotten better since then). :)

broken glass who's
dreams just don't
come true
Her friends don't
really like her
but she doesn't
have a clue
When she speaks
they ignore her

don't care

If the Archie website people give me permission I'll submit another one that's more deep (it's got NO mature content)that I wrote about teen romance that's sad. I hope they let me!

Hey Ron! Don't worry about other people think of the poem! I'm not good at poetry! Although some of these people here are great!! Great job to everyone who posted a poem!!! I think you should go for the class if you want too! Its gonna be hard work but if you really want to you can do it!

hmmm....If you are really thinking of taking the class, then you need to dump the whole 'roses are red' thing. Its WAY over used.
Here is a poem that my sister wrote a LONG time ago. It is a little creepy, but I think it sounds nice.

Cool. Personally, I think it WAS Edward de Vere... not William Shakespeare.... for many reasons. 1: Shakespeare did not have the proper education. There's, like I said, many more, but it's too long to list. What do you guys think?
