So, I know the styles of ancient Rome are, well, ancient, but who says we can’t steal some styling tips from that classic era? Gladiator sandals are simply a must have this season! These trendy flats come in a variety of colors, but my personal fav is metallic gold; it gives it that truly way vintage flavor. Some lace up the calf, while others stop right at the ankle. Both are super stylish, but I say if you are rocking a skirt or dress above the knee, go for the ones that lace up higher, and for longer skirts, capri pants or shorts, stick to ankle length.
Clear plastics accessories have become really popular, and definitely have a cool summer feel to them. There are a huge variety of products to choose from, such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and handbags. But if you are going to have a clear handbag, be conscious of what you put inside of it, because it will be on display for everyone to see! And make sure to keep it clean because visible stains are an eternal no-no.

She doesn't mean ballet shoes when she says flats, she means sandals whithout heels. I don't think I'll be getting a clear purse, I like 2 fill up my purse with a whole buncha junk. Ron, I agree, the ancient styles r way 2 cool. Sometimes the spacey look comes back...n goes, but I don't think you can go wrong with it because you know it can't be out of style anytime soon. My fav style, though, is from the 80's and b4 2. All the chunky bracelets, JELLY SHOES, leather jackets, the wear-everything-you-own-ness of it, the wackyness! You can write about a 80's day in a future comic, AC writers and ppl. Mostly 2day we borrow looks from other times but it really annoys me that we don't have any styles that we can truthfully say we made.- Amal*F

i think what ron means are espadrilles (that's the english name for them), a spanish shoe that are WAY cool. i own a MILLION pairs from all the times i went to spain. they have them with laces that go up to your knee, and ones that dont go up as high. the traditional ones are the knee length ones

Just to clear up the confusion, gladiator sandals are a specific style, different from both ballet shoes and espadrilles. Gladiator is the actual name of the style of shoe. Perhaps you can do an Internet search and find what I mean. They look just like the shoes the Romans wore. Trust me, there are way cool!

I went to Rome this summer. I saw people dressed up as gladiators at the colesseum. They were taking pictures with tourists and they had lovely sandals!

I saw some clear flats at a shoe store, but I didn't buy them. I mean, unless you have a manicure, which I do right now, who wants to see your toes? I just think that they were not too practicle. But the other stuff sounds cool!
