Make-Up 101

Veronica_3_3We girls have a tendency to be a walking oxymoron. And no, I am not calling you names! An oxymoron is something that contradicts itself. So, what makes me say such a thing about us fabulous females? Well, take make up for example. We wear various makeup products to give us a more natural look. To the boys, I’m sure that makes no sense, but to us, well, we know exactly what that means. And summer time is the best for that au-natural look. So here are some tips to help your skin look glowing and flawless without appearing caked on and clumpy.
First and foremost, you need to check in with your parents and make sure they give you the go ahead to wear make-up. If they say no, it’s probably because you’re at an age where your skin is glowing and flawless without it, so there’s no point anyway!
If you do get the go ahead, you first must choose a foundation. It is very important the foundation matches your skin tone, or else your face will end up being a completely different color form the rest of your skin. Ick! I like liquid foundations, but they come in cream and mousse forms. Liquid tends to be a bit lighter, but all can work great.
Make sure you smooth it in; you don’t want ANY visible streaks. Next is concealer, which is used to, well, conceal. This works great for blemishes, red blotches and dark circles under the eyes from all that late night studying, or in my case, talking on the phone. Apply just enough to do the trick. Some girls like to use powder and/or blush on top of both of these, but I say skip it, unless your skin tone is really uneven. It may give it that cakey look. Since it is summer, you can brush on some bronzer instead, to give your skin that sun-kissed touch. Focus on you your cheekbones and blend in from there.
Now eye make-up can very much depend on what you’re wearing, but if you want the natural look, keep it to a minimum. Some peach colored or sheen sparkle shadow can look great. One or two coats of mascara on the top lashes (for a natural look, use dark browns instead of black) and voila! Your eyes are highlighted without being over-dramatized.
For a final touch add a bit of peach or pink lip-gloss, and your look is complete. But girls, remember to wash every bit of make-up off before you go sleep, or else you can clog your pores and your skin won’t be pleased!!

i don't really wear makeup cuz i dont' want to. but if i did it probably just be a little mascara (my eyelashes are really light), some concealer for the dark circles under my eyes (my skin is pretty nice and even otherwise), and some pink lipgloss

i usally dont wear make up either i think it is a waste of time but then to tohers its everything and there is nothing wrong with that! but i do like to wear it occausionally but i deffintly dont over-do it!
make some lip gloss and even though i like my sort of long black eye lashes i would still put on a little mascara..

I have a qusetion for Pureheart
Do YOU wear makeup? If yes what ypes (Lipgloss, Eyeliner....etc..)

Not everytime I wear makeup just on special occacions, but I do wear pink lipgloss!!

Hey Pureheart did you read my message ? I think I posted it on Betty`s Blog on the game comment !

Make-up is meant 2 MAKE-UP 4 what you haven't got naturally, like if u have pimples or acne, etc, u can conceal, and if you have small eyes the right mascara and eye-liner can give u big almond eyes. There is no reason 2 put on blush if u have perfectly rosey cheeks and that goes 4 other things 2. U should never do both ur eyes and lips, it'll look way over-done! U could either do ur eyes like maybe a nice smokey grey shade and wear lipgloss or do your lips with bright lipsticks and put on really light colored eyeshadow, maybe something that suits ur eyes and skin. Personally, I like cat-eyes. I agree with u Ron, u should always take off all ur make-up b4 u hit the sack or ur skin will hate u! If u have the time, u won't regret washing ur face with a face wash. Just remember which 1s r 4 night time and which 1s r 4 the day and which 1s r daily washes. Ron, plz write something about hair next time:]it's important 2!- Amal*F

I don't wear makeup except for eyeliner and lip gloss but i will when i get a bit older! But i totally agree with all the tips you gave us! The natural look is so in!

The point of the natural look is 2 look like u have perfect features like pink lips without looking like u put on make-up, which, if u try the natural look using make-up, u have [ that is, then u have used make-up ]. Confusingggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Amal*F

You can also just put on a little eye shadow i nice shade of blush and lipgloss on top of lpstick but for the lips when you put the stuff on the LIPS put the lips together and then kiss a tissue so it is naturaul and also watch What Not To Wear at 12:00 p.m. on 52 and 10 years younger on 52 at 1 and 1:30 p.m.

Pure peutroleum jelly like vaseline is sooo cool. If u put on a little on ur lips and then wipe it off, ur lips will be smoother and less chapped! U can also put it on ur skin. Sun screen is a must- have because the sun's uv rays can penetrate through clouds and u really should be protected against them. U should put some on every morning.- Amal*F

OMG!I LUV MAKEUP & I DEF THINK ITS IMPORTANT 2!BUT I DONT PUT FOUNDATION CUZ I REALLY DONT NEED IT![AAH,YES!I'VE GOT PERFECT SKIN!] BUT I LUV LIP GLOSS=]I MEAN IM SURE NO GIRL COULD LIVE WITHOUT IT,RITE RON???
XOXO*K!

Labello lipcare lip balms are really neat 2. The strawberry and cherry ones have a faint rosy-ness, the mandarin and vanilla ones smell sooo good, the pearly shimmer is so pinky and shimmery, etc. Make-up is cool, but sometimes it makes you feel a little...artificail. However, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of lipgloss or so now and then:].- Amal*F

Veronica, I already have a beautiful permanent tan that is NATURAL, as in NO COSMETICS and NO TANNING BOOTH. I was born with this lovely flawless skin and my perfectly pink NATURAL lips because I dont want to ever use makeup, even though its ok for me to use it at this age. Mousse and cream are icky, I just wash my hair in the shower and brush it out. It comes out beautifully copper-brown in lovely curls. My long curly hair is NATURAL. Concealers make me feel weird. Blush actually DAMAGES my skin. I have no blemishes. Bronzers are useless to me because all year round my skin is a beautiful glowing tan, even though Im Canadian. Mascara just doesnt work for me because I have 5 inch long eyelashes NATURALLY! I have the most lovely green eyes and I dont want to spoil them with mascara and eye-shadow. Lipgloss, need I say more?
Not all girls need makeup, especially when your looks are perfect like me. I am not saying Im flawless, cause I cant run well cause it makes me sick.
Smooches,
-Coral

you are the best actor i have seen i hate Betty for trying to steel Archie from you. you and him make a great couple so you now know what i mean girl you are the best actor im your biggest fan i think but your the best

Wow Coral...it takes alot to admit to people ur perfect. Of course there's nothing wrong with having good self esteem. But...(I'm so sorry this is so old!) Nobodys perfect.

Love,
Morgie

P.S My favorite features of my own are my Huge eyes, my friendss ssay they look like doll eyes. My eylashes are also pretty long. The only makeup i wear is lipgloss.

Ron,
I go without makeup in the summer, it hides my freckles and gives my skin a chance to breathe.
But otherwise sound advice for the girls.
yes, I know you're probably glad you don't have freckles. I like mine

U should never ever wear make-up when itz not neccesseraly cause itz really bad cause ur skin cant breath!- Amal*F

hiii
