Your Best Friend This Summer

Veronicafashionrules You know what it is?  Sunscreen!  I know, we all want to have a gorgeous tan and getting SOME sun is healthy.  BUT you don’t want to fry your skin to the dry crispy brown of a roast turkey!

When I buy sunscreen, I look for one that blocks both UVA and UVB rays.  I also try to find one with Vitamin C and E, which helps boost sunscreen’s protection.  Take care of your skin this summer… so you will look good your WHOLE LIFE!

Hey Ron! Great Advice! I love getting a tan, its not too hard for me either, all i have to do is get on a swimsuit and go play outside for an hour in the bright sun and i got myself a tan! I agree though, its definitly not cool to get sun burnt, it really hurts, i've gotten sun burnt several times when i forgot to put on sun screen and it stings like crazy!

Great Tip! If u dont tan and burn like me then dont mess around with aloe vera to get rid of the pain. Get a vitamin e geltab, bust it and squeeze the oil over ur face at bedtime, in the morning Voila! ur burn is almost invisible and u dont hurt anymore!

that's really great advice ron!! it reminds me of one comic that i read with you and betty in it! you guys were at the beach and betty was putting on sunscreen. you said that you didn't wanna bother with it because it was kind of overcast. but then the sun came out ... and you had a REALLY bad burn!! you were supposed to show your dad's client around town that day but betty had to instead!!
i just had to share that with everyone!!

hey ron. do you know what to do about my problem? You see i got this really bad sunburn but only on my nose and it hasnt gone away in 2 MONTHS! i cant seem to get it away and im tired of being rudolph

One time I got a really bad sunburn that I got a blister the size of a walnut from a Mounds Bar (for reals) and I couldn't sleep well because of the pain and I had to sleep in an uncomfortable position because of it. My mom got me an ointment which was recommended to us from a pharmacist in Mexico (we were on a mini vacation) but huge mistake! It was an ointment with I think aloe vera or something else. It was painful to apply on and it stuck onto the blister that it got huger. Believe it or not, I have a picture of it somewhere stored away.

Anyway, the only way it helped me get through it was my mom applied hand lotion on it every certain time.

And you know what's weird? I did put on sunscreen when we got to the beach.

Have a safe summer!

Okay.......whoever took my name.....please either change it or put the first letter of you're last name after your first so that people can tell us apart! Thanks! :-)

Hey Another Fan.
That ointment must have had something else because Aloe Vera is supposed to be painless. It really helps sunburns. My Mom always keeps an aloe vera in our house be it winter or summer.

Roasting in the sun is awesome- especially since I've never gotten burned before! I always end up with a tan, even if I'm in the pool for hours! But I ALWAYS wear waterproof sunscreen. =D
