Last night a whole bunch of
us met at Pop’s for an informal “Fight
The Makeover” meeting. More on that
later. While we were there, Pop told me
something interesting. Today is
actually an important day in history… especially if you own a restaurant like
Pop’s, or love milkshakes.
On this day in 1833, the Soda Fountain was born. Seriously. Yeah, I know, WE didn’t hear that in school
either! Probably because 1833 was a
very looonnggggggg time ago… way
before iPods and computers… like back
when dinosaurs roamed the earth. I
guess the big scalies wanted something really yummy to wash down all those
leafy green trees (and other dinosaurs) they were eating. So, a clever Utahraptor teamed up with an
Anchisaurus who liked to play with his food, and together they created Coke
floats and cherry phosphates. Could
happen.
Okay, I’m messing with you,
but I thought we could all use a little break from the Makeover stress. Which reminds me, make sure you read my Ronnie’s Rule beauty tip tomorrow, cause it’s all about stress.
Now, go get yourself a big
chocolate malt (my favorite) and celebrate National
Soda Fountain Day! It really IS today. You’ll make Pop Tate very
happy.
