I hate stress. I know you do, too. Since the
makeover was announced just before Christmas, I seem to be fighting stress ALL
THE TIME. Stress effects everybody in
different ways, but this is what I’ve noticed it does to ME:
- I’m tired a lot
- I have bad hair days. Yes, me, Veronica.
- Even when I WANT to have fun, it’s hard.
- I can’t seem to relax.
- I snap at people more often, even my friends!
- I have trouble sleeping.
So, I’ve been fighting these “stress effects”, but I
decided it’s time to address the stuff that is bothering ME. Here’s my list of things I’m stressed about.
- The Makeover
- Prom is coming up. Who will I go with? What will I wear? I don’t even want to think about it!
- What if everyone likes “the new Veronica” better than me? Maybe they’ll only replace ME!
- Homework.
- Finals.
- Why do people STILL read Betty’s blog more than mine?
- I gained 3 pounds.
Okay, that’s enough. I’m stressed just writing this post! I’ve heard you’ll start to feel better if you address the things
you really CAN do something about, so I’ll start with Stressor #7. I think I’ll call Bets and see if she wants
to go running with me; that’ll help!

I'm stressing about lots of things:
1) My diabetes
2) Volleyball finals
3) My dog Sparky
4) My still broken arm
5) Homework
My diabetes I can't do much about but do what I have to do.
Volleyball finals I just have to try my hardest and lead the team to victory.
My dog Sparky has an infection, and he has to have these pills and these shots and it's so sad.
My broken arm isn't healing very well, mainly because I tripped and fell on that arm, so now it's even more swollen.
Homework is piling up more than ever and it sems like I can never do anything.
Some things I do to help releive stress is I take a nice hot bath (with a plastic bag over my cast), I phone up my friends and we talk, or I invite everyone over for a big sleepover party.

depending on your type of Diabetes if it is type 2 or type 1 i know from exprience. been battling type two myself for the last 4 years. Found out yesterday i no longer need my pills. I followed my doctors orders and ate healthy and lost weight.
What I stress about:
1. Will my cancer ever come back.
What else can I say. Since, being a cancer suvivor everything else is really not that important to stress about.
How do I deal when stress does happen:
Count My Blessings. Name them one by one. The blessings outway the stress ;)
All my stress is then relieved.

I have Type 1 diabetes. My friend Rebecca has Type 2 diabetes. She wants to know more about this so please tell me more info about Type 1 AND 2 Diabetes.
School stresses me out more than anything in the world! My parents are always pressuring me to get perfect grades. I don't want to let them down, but I'm trying my best, and my grades aren't so hot!
I stress mostly about school, and i play the harp and i always have stuff going on with it and i'm stressing over memorizing this music! i'm not really stressing over too much right now, i stress about getting enough sleep, mostly. Hey Gabe! i'm SO sorry that you had cancer! i would be stressing over that too if i was a cancer survivor! Also for all the people who have diabetes! I'm also sorry that you have to deal with diabetes! I just figure that you should think of the good things you have and then you won't stress as much, thats what i do when i am feeling stressed or sad, i hope this helps! Katie-- I too have Type 1 diabetes. Right now i am sick, and so things have been a little strange.
My stresses are:
1. If I can bearly survive my chores.
2. How i'll remember to to study for the upcoming test.
3. Who i'll go to the dance to.
First of all, who cares if people read more of Betty's blog than yours. Jealousy makes one ugly, my mom has said. We love you AND Betty!
And about the makeover, I like the new look but I don't want to see it replace the old look. I would like to see both though like the new makeover in a different comic book, that way we can buy that one too if we want too. But AC can never change you and Betty's look permanently because you look good the way you are. :)
As for this stress topic, I hear ya! The whole world especially this country we live in is so fast paced and everyone is like so nervous and stressed out that people are impatient, rude, etc.
I myself am always stressed too but the best advice my mom has taught me was to do something about it as soon as possible. The faster you do it, the faster you're done with it. (Something like that.) If you wait long, the longer you will feel stress and you wont be comfortable and in peace until you take care of it.
Like you said Ron, people have different ways of showing stress and it's true. Now the question is, how do we relax?
Veronica!!! Whoa!!!! We love you girl!!!! Don't get stressed out!!!!! I can see how you're stressed about homework and who you'll go to prom with, but that's something that we ALL stress about! (Even Betty!) BUT, worrying that people read Betty's blog more than yours does NOT fall into that category!!!! You are sooo lucky even to have a blog, so no more complaints from you, young lady!!! Veronica you shouldn't stress one bit about how many people come to Betty's blog. You should be happy that so many people are still coming to read your blog possibly everyday. I do that too and you may be wondering why I sent in a comment 2-3 days after you had posted in to your blog. Otherwise I come everyday to see both your blogs. I agree everybody has stress. I have a large amount of it right now.
I stress on the following things:
1) I have 3 (yes 3) tests tomorrow. I also don't study very much because I am always busy doing something or the other. Some of the 3 tests are easy but my school still doesn't have some of the textbooks so I can't study much for some of the tests.
2) I am going to India for 10 days. I will have a ton of stuff to write when I get back.
3) Try to clean up my house everyday. Reason: To get enough money to invite some of my friends over to have fun with, because I don't have any friends nearby to have fun with.
4) My cat shedding. Not that much problem because I think I am immune to asthma, but their hair comes in the rooms, especially because one of my 3 cats can open doors which aren't locked, so that way they can get in and it is a problem getting them out. Also they shed all year long.
The last thing isn't much of stress just irritation. I have a cold. You might think it isn't much but the last time I had a cold, I had it for a month.
Tell me if any of your stresses apart from the prom, is close to this. I am extremly, utterly sorry that I wrote such a humongous comment.

Hey, all u guys! It's not healthy to stress about everything. A recent study shows that stress contributes to a shorter life. So, just smile, and try to be happier. :)
I'm in sixth grade, so all I really stress about are grades, homework, friends, and schoolwork. Which is really hard because my mom and dad are always pressuring me o get good grades and it's really hard sometimes.
I LOVE THE MAKEOVER I DIDNT LIKE IT AT FIRST BUT NOW I LOVE IT. quick get a copy of the new makeover issue,that way the management might make the (totally awsome)makeover permanate. THAT WOULD BE SOOOOOOOO AWSOME

Ron, I just had an idea. Instead of making a list of stressful things, why don't you make a list of calming things?! Then do the stuff on the list! It always works!

I am writing this from the hospital. My friend Rebecca and I both got really high blood sugar from eating the most sugary sundae ever, and we have to have some tests done on us. I am now SO stressed.

-i just simply hate homework it always gets in my way of fun! i'm only 14 i just wanna have fun!!!

I think the makeover looks like something from a coloring book, to tell the truth. They should makeover Sabrina with that, she'd look better in that than she would in Manga.
hey i hv a boyfriend named nate and we hv been going out since almost a year and a half now....lately he seems to act very weird and hates doing all the stuff we used to do earlier... its as if he is hiding sumthing frm me and doesnt lke me anymore.....also he doesnt even call me tht often and most of the time wen i wanna meet up he finds an excuse to avoid me...wat should i do pls help

I understand why most of the things that are on your list stress you out but the one that I don't truely understand is number 7. I don't get why people freak out over 3 pounds or 5 pounds or in some cases 1 pound. It makes me sad because people should stop thinking that skinny is good for you. skinny is bad and people don't get that. It makes me stress. However the running thing is a good idea the exercise will maintain a good body weight and reduce stress
