Story Starter: Week 17 – The Worst School Lunch Ever

storyHi guys! School is in full swing here in Riverdale – just like it is for many of you. So, this week, we thought it would be fun write a Story Starter from our own personal experience (this happened last year, and it was GAG!) Go ahead and have fun with this one; Ms. Beasley won’t mind; she’s a good sport. ?

The Worst School Lunch Ever

Starring - Ms. Beazly and the Students & Faculty of Riverdale High

Written by (YOU!)

Early one morning, Ms. Beazly came to school wearing a brand new pair of eyeglasses. These weren’t any old reading glasses – they were tri-focals! (3 different lenses in one) Needless to say, they take some getting used to. After she parked in Mr. Weatherbee’s spot by mistake, and got lost in the hall, she found the cafeteria and started making lunch. She couldn’t read any of the labels, but that didn’t slow her down. First she began mixing ingredients for chocolate cake, but she grabbed the chili powder instead of the cocoa… and it got MUCH worse after that.

Boy, was EVERYONE surprised when lunch was served THAT day! What happened?

Okay creative writers, you have your assignment. Ready? Set?

Story Starter: Week 18 – Riverdale High School Spirit

StoryHappy Thursday!

Looks like you’ve been having lots of fun with last week’s story starring Ms. Beazly. LOL We just love reading your stories – and Ms. Beazly loves all the attention, too! How do we know this? Because yesterday everyone got 2 brownies at lunch! Never happened before…

This week we’ve come up with another Story Starter featuring Riverdale High and the cheerleading squad. This one’s a little bit different. We hope you love it! Here goes:

Riverdale High School Spirit

Featuring: the RHS Varsity Cheerleaders

Written by (YOU!)

The Riverdale High Varsity cheerleaders were in a rut. Nobody had written any new cheers for them since… well, since before computers! (We know, that’s a long time.) Anyway, Nancy, the cheerleading captain, came up with a brilliant idea. She decided to have this contest:

Title: Show Your RHS Spirit

Open to: Everyone! (current RHS students, former RHS students, non-RHS students)

Your Assignment

#1: Write 2 new cheers for the Riverdale High Varsity Cheerleaders to use at football/basketball games.

#2: Tell us why you LOVE Riverdale High

That’s it! We have a feeling Nancy will get 10 year’s worth of great new cheers. Are you ready, writers? Okay then…

Ready… Set… Story Away!
