GIRL-ZILLA

Archie and Betty stood on the walk up to Betty's house. Betty's arms were draped over Archie's shoulders and they were kissing goodnight. Betty opened her door and went inside dreamily. Archie was love struck. He started to walk to his car, his eyes were glazed over and his mind was still with Betty.
Suddenly a gleaming red sports car pulled up to the curb with a screeching halt. Veronica got out of it slamming the door.
"ARCHIE ANDREWS!" she screeched. This is the last time you stand me up. Someone tipped me off about you dating Betty tonight when you were suposed to pick me up at 8:00. Do you know what time it is? It is 9:30! You can NOT do this to a Lodge!
With that she held up her heavy purse and smacked him on the head. Then she strode back to her car and drove away.
I am sick of always being in hot water with the girls. I can't help it if I love them both, thought Archie.
He got into old Betsy and began to drive home. But then instead of taking a left turn to his house he took a right turn and then another right turn. He pulled up to Dilton's house. He got out of his car and went up to the garage door. He looked inside and saw Dilton with his lab coat and goggles looking at some sort of dirt. Archie knocked on the door and came in.
Dilton jumped and turned to Archie.
"Can I help you Arch?" Dilton asked.
"I hope so!" replied Archie. I always seem to get in so much trouble with the girls. Do you have anything to help me? "I believe I DO have the answer to your delima. I call it the girl-zilla. It's a device that looked deceptively like a cell phone, but will alert you any time it detects negative energy directed at you from people of the female persuasion," said Dilton.
"This is great! See you later Dilt. I'm going to go test this out!" Archie said.

NEXT DAY
"Now I'm all ready for my date with Veronica," Archie said with a final tug at his bow tie. All of a sudden there was a ringing sound like a cell phone. Archie searched in his pocket for the thing that could be ringing. Then he found the girl - zilla ringing in his pocket. Archie opened it and turned it on. There he saw 4 links that said VERONICA BETTY CHERYL NEW GIRL. When Archie clicked on the Betty link it showed this, location: pops

He then clicked on the Veronica link which told him that she was at her home, angry. Archie sighed contently. He had it made, he decided. Archie decided to pick up some flowers forVeronica to make up for whatever Veronica was mad at him about. He would never get in hot water with the girls again. When he arrived at Veronica's Archie checked his girl-zilla again. It still said that she was content but at pop's. "How could this be! Why is she at pop's when she was supposed to stay at her house and wait to be picked up? Maybe she thought I was going to meet her at Pop's. Archie drove over to Pop's, sure that he was going to be in trouble for being late. He walked inside but all he saw was Betty.
"Hi Betts. Has Ronnie been around lately?"
"If your looking for your date, She was angry when you showed up an hour late and she called me and told me that if I saw you to tell you that she is going to bed early and that she is never going to talk to you again.
Archie groaned. "Well, I guess you'll be seeing her before I do, so, can you give these to her?" Archie asked handing Betty the flowers. Then he walked out of pop's with his shoulders sagging and his hopes drooping. So far this thing hasn't given me a bit of luck, Archie thought.
He checked the girl-zilla. Sure enough Ronnie had never left home: Angry. This thing had not been accurate. He sighed and drove home.
At home Archie's real phone began to ring and the caller I.D. said that it was Veronica. Archie checked the girl-zilla and it said that Veronica was angry. Archie figured she would be angry so he decided not to answer it. The answering machine said this, "ARCHIE ANDREW! I WAS CALLING TO FORGIVE YOU, BUT IF YOU FEEL LIKE IGNORING ME SO BE IT. I WONT TALK TO YOU. HMPH.
Archie groaned. Veronica hadn't been angry when she called. This thing was out of whack. He threw the girl-zilla in the garbage. Life is meant to be lived the way it is meant to be lived. If I am going to get in hot water. I may as well do it my way. Archie decided and he fell asleep, dreaming of a world without girl-zillas.

POP'S
"Dilton, you mean to tell us that Archie Andrews was tracking us. He knew our moods and exactly where we were?" Veronica screeched.
"ARCHIE ANDREWS!" Betty screeched
"You are in big trouble!" Betty and Veronica said together.

Girl-Zilla

Archie came running to his house with a shoe hurtling after him. He ran to his house as quick as he could. “ARCHIE! You left your muddy shoes on! The carpet JUST got professionally cleaned! It cost me bundles of money to have it cleaned so clean! HONESTY! NOW I’LL HAVE TO CALL HIM AGAIN! MORE MONEY DOWN THE TUBES! BE MORE CAREFUL!” Archie’s mom growled. The door bell rang.
“Hey Arch.”
“Hey Jug.”
“ ‘Saw you getting beaned by Betty and Veronica.”
“Yeah, There ALWAYS angry at me.”
“I talked to Dilton about you’re problem….He said to come over tomorrow.”
“Thanks a million!”

Next-day

“Hey Dilton!”
“Hello Archie, here for you’re gadget I presume? Do you like it? It’s disguised as a cell phone. It will beep when a girl is angry at you and ring when girls are in love with you!”
“Thanks Dilton! Thank you so much!”
“No problem! Anything for a friend.”
Archie took Girl-zilla and went to Pops.
“Hey Arch! Sit with me!” Jughead yelled as he slurped his shake at the counter.
“Nice cell phone! New?”
“No, that’s the thing Dilton designed for me! Its made to look like a cell phone!”
“Cool!”
“Uh…I gotta use the restroom. Look after my gadget!”
Jughead yawned and accidentally knocked over the shake, all over Girl-zilla! “OH NO! Archie’s going to be so mad!” Jughead gasped as he took napkins to wipe it off.
“I hope I didn’t ruin it!” Jughead shrieked.
“Well, I have a date with Veronica, I need to go. Bye Jughead.” Archie said politly and took girl-zilla.
“G-g-g-g’buh-buh-“ Jughead stammered.
When he went towards the door at Veronica’s mansion, Girl-Zilla went off beeping. “Ulp!” Archie thought.
“She’s still mad? I better get her some flowers.”
When he came back, it started beeping again. He nervously rang the doorbell. “Oh hello Archie! You’re just on time and-oh! Are those flowers for me? Oh Archie! You’re so sweet! Er-whats that beeping noise?’ Veronica asked.
The machine was beeping as fast as it could. “WOW!” Archie thought.
“She must be really angry at me! This is probably just an act! I better call off the date so she doesn’t bean me again!”
“Err… Love bug? I have to call off the date. There’s a….family reunion! Bye!” Archie said quickly and he hustled out the mansion gate.
“Archie was lying! I can tell! He must be going out with another girl!” Veronica fumed.
Archie went over to Betty’s house. When Betty came out it started beeping more than it ever beeped! “Oohh Archiekins! So nice of you to drop by! Come in! I made some cake just for you!” Betty cooed.
“Umm…I have to go on a date with Veronica. Just stopped to say hello!” Archie said
and ran as quickly as he could. Just then, Betty got a call. “YOU PHONY! ARCHIE BROKE HIS DATE WITH ME! AND IT WAS PROBABLY JUST TO GO OUT WITH YOU!” It was Veronica.
“Veronica! He just told me he was going over to go on you’re date! THAT LIER!”
“GRR! WHO’S HE GOING OUT WITH?”
“HOW DARE HE LIE TO US! HOW DARE HE!”
“GRRR!!!! LET’S CALL ALL THE GIRLS AT SCHOOL! SEE IF THEY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS.” First they called Cheryl.
“Did Archie stop over?” asked Veronica.
“Yes, he did. What’s it to you?” Cheryl snapped.
“WELL, he said to me he was going out with you.”
“OH HE DID, DID HE? CHERYL HE’S LYING!”
“He’s lying? I’ll going to call the girls he’s been dating! So we can find what’s going going on!”
“Next they called the sisters. Mari, Mary, Marie, Anna, Ann, Annie, Annabel, Anna-Marie and Mary-Anna.
“Yes he did stop over and said he was going to Veronica’s.”
“Anna-Marie, he’s lying! He’s been lying to EVERY girl!”
“WHAT? WE’LL GET THAT CASSINOVA! We’ll help you spread the word!” Now poor Archie didn’t know where to go! He couldn’t understand why all the girls in Riverdale were angry at him! The gadget started to ring. Archie smiled and heard. “THERE HE IS!”
He turned around and he saw girls, not the happy kind! “IT’S PAY BACK TIME, ARCHIE ANDREWS!!!” Cheryl yelled.
They chased Archie right out of town! It was getting dark, so he sneaked back home. He finally got home, slammed the door shut and ran to he’s room. “There must be something wrong with this thing!” The gadget started to ring like crazy! It rang more than it ever did before!
“AAAAARRRCHIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Ringing is supposed to be the sign of love! Now I know this things gone haywire!”
He’s mom yelled with such fury, it made him shiver. He looked down the stars, to see he’s muddy, grimy sneaker tracks, ALL OVER THE NEW CARPET.

“Girl-zilla”

Tired of getting in hot water all the time with Betty, Veronica… and girls in general, Archie went to Riverdale’s chief science geek, Dilton, for help.

Dilton invented “Girl-zilla” – a device that looked deceptively like a cell phone, but would alert Archie any time it detected negative energy directed at him from people of the female persuasion.

Great idea… but, of course, it didn’t work. In fact, it failed spectacularly! What happened?

"Arrghh!" shouted Archie! It was 7 o'clock on a Friday night, and Archie was at Pop Tate's with Jughead and Dilton. " What seems to be the matter, Archie?" asked Dilton. "What's the matter!?! Ronnie, Ronnie's the matter!!!" was his reply. "Were supposed to have a date tonight. I go to pick her up, and she goes ballistic! Why, I don't know! She started yelling at me and throwing things at me! I can't understand it!" he said angrily. " Did you go there empty handed?" asked Jughead. "Well...yeah, but what's that got to do with it?" Archie said, confusion on his face. "Archie, listen. Ronnie is spoiled rotten, and you know it. You don't show up at her house empty handed. Flowers, candy, you've got to give her something!" said Jughead. "The last time I brang her flowers, she said she was allergic, I brought her candy, she said I was trying to fatten her up. I didn't bring anything, and now she's mad at me for that? I don't know Jug. Sometimes, she just gets into these moods. I wish there was some way I could tell when girls are happy or sad!" said Archie sadly. "Maybe there is!" said Dilton. "I have to go now. Archie, stop by my lab tomorrow, I have a surprise for you." said Dilton, and with that, he was off.

(The next day)
Archie goes to Dilton's lab:

"Hey Dilt!" said Archie, as he arrived at the lab. "Greetings Archie!" was Dilton's reply. "Archie, I have had you come here today, to show you a new type of technology. I present, the Girl-Zilla!!!" Dilton said as he held out to Archie an object that looked strangely, like a cell phone."Bring this with you on every date. Pretend it's a cell phone. When the line on the screen goes red, the girl your with feels negative towards you. When it turns green, she feels positive towards you. This will help you know what kind of mood your girlfriend is in!" said Dilton, proudly. "Hey, thanks Dilt!" Said Archie, and with that, he ran over to Betty's house, because they had a lunch date together. He Arrived at Betty's house, and knocked at the door. Betty answered the door, and as she did, Archie pulled out the girl-zilla, and careful not to show Betty, looked at it. The line was a bright green colour. "Archiekins!" said Betty. "You're here!" She then took his hand and lead her inside, where she had set up the dining room table for lunch for two. Archie took a seat at one end of the table, while Betty went in the kitchen and brought out a big bowl of beef stew. "Oh no!" thought Archie to himself!"I hate beef stew!" Betty took Archie's plate, and scooped a big spoon of beef stew onto it. "Try my beef stew" said Betty. "I've been marinating it since yesterday." Archie put his spoon into the stew on his plate, and scooped it into his mouth. He chewed it slowly, and tried to look like he liked it, but it was so disgusting, he spit it all back out. Betty did'nt look happy. He pulled out the girl-zilla, and he was right. The line was red. He got up and ran, before Betty could even open her mouth. He ran home, where he saw Veronica talking to Archie's mother. He walked towards the door, where Ronnie ran up to him and hugged him." Hi Archie! Guess what! I got tickets to a ballet tomorrow, and since Reggie's down with the flu, you'll be my escort." She then kissed him on the cheek, and left, leaving Archie there stunned, and confused.

(The next day, at Ronnie's house:)

"Hi Veronica!" said Archie, as she opened the door. This time he brought flowers. "Ready to go?" he asked, and she nodded and went along. They got in Archie's car. He checked the Girl-zilla hidden in his pocket. The line was half and half, probably because of the condition of Archie's car. Just then, Ronnie peeked over. "Archie, you got a cell phone!! oh, let me see it!!!" she shrieked, and grabbed it out of his hand. She looked at the cell phone, then noticed, there were no numbers. She then realized it wasn't a cell phone. She started to feel mad at Archie, and then noticed the line turned red. She turned to Archie. "Speak" she said. "Well...uh, ummm, you see it's a....um, well. It's called a girl zilla. Dilton made it for me. It tells me if you're happy or sad." he confessed. She didn't look to pleased. "See, last time I came to see you, you went ballistic for no apparrent reason. I just wanted to know what kind of a mood your in, so I know if I have to be careful about what I say around you." said Archie. "ARE YOU IMPLYING THAT I'M MOODY!!??!" she shouted at the top of her lungs! "I got mad at you last time because you were to cheap to even buy me flowers! How dare you show at my house empty handed?" she yelled. "I..I..umm" started Archie. "Forget it. Never call me again. I'll be informing Betty and all of my other friends about this little "girl zilla" object. it'l be a cold day in July before you go on another date in this town!" She screamed, and got out of his car. She went back into her house and slammed the door. Archie took the Girl zilla and threw it out the window. "..because I didn't bring her flowers." said Archie to him self. "Next time, I just talk to Jughead. He seems to know how to make girls happy." Little did Archie know, that Jughead's advice was right this time. Next time, his advice might not be as good as this advice...but that's a different story, and the End of this one.

“This has to be your greatest invention yet!” Archie said excitedly. “I can’t wait to try it out. It’s just what I need, especially with my limited knowledge of the teenage girl’s mind.” “I agree with you there, Arch! Remember the license plates you got Ron?” Dilton started. “Gee, how was I supposed to know she wouldn’t like them? She said she wanted something shiny.” Archie blushed. “Well, then, how about the time you took Betty to that terrific concert?” Dilton continued. “But it was awesome! We had first row seats and it was our favorite band.” Archie argued. “Yeah, but you also invited Cheryl and Ronnie without the three of them knowing it. That’s a no-no.” Dilton explained. “Okay, so I goofed a few times.” Archie admitted. “A few?” Dilton grinned. “Now all that’s going to change, thanks to this baby!” Archie held the Girl-zilla like it was the most astounding and amazing invention of the century and to Archie it was. “I’m going to give this a test run. See ya’ later, Dilt! And thanks again, you’re a great pal!” Archie ran out of Dilton’s lab excitedly to meet Betty and Veronica at the mall. “You’re welcome, Archie! Bye.” Dilton smiled.
“There you are, Archie! You’re five minutes late.” Veronica said, almost shouting. Whoa! Archie grinned as he felt the girl-zilla vibrate. It works! “Archie Andrews! Why are you smiling?” Veronica demanded to know. “Oh! Umm, sorry about that, Ron! I wasn’t thinking. I’m late because I was helping Dilton out with another one of his crazy experiments.” Archie explained. “Of course you weren’t thinking, when do you ever?” Veronica insulted Archie. “Aww, come on, Ronnie. Cut Archie some slack. It’s not like you haven’t been a few minutes or hours late for an appointment before!” Betty reminded Veronica. “Well, Betty, at least I was always fashionably late, unlike some people who don’t have any fashion-sense!” Ronnie shot back. “I’d rather save the world than put on mascara. Infact, I’m glad that I’m going to end up as a naturally beautiful person ageing gracefully, not some Hollywood-has-been who’s had plastic surgery every other day!” Betty replied. “Now look at what you started, Archie!” Veronica scowled. Archie could hear the girl-zilla beeping and could fell it vibrating like crazy. “Hey, look there’s a sale on Lacy’s!” Archie blurted, diverting Betty and Veronica’s attention so they could stop arguing. “Eeeeeeee! Let’s go!” Betty and Veronica shrieked in unison. Whew! That was quick thinking! Archie thought as he watched the girls paw through clothes racks. “Archie, who’s dress is better?” Veronica asked Archie. “Mine or Betty’s?” “Ummm…well…” Archie stuttered, trying to think of a perfect answer while Betty and Veronica showed off two polka-dotted dresses with stripes. The truth was that both dresses were ugly. “Well?’’ Betty raised her eye brows. “I can’t lie to you two; I think those dresses just aren’t you.” Archie replied, hoping that he said the right thing. “Thanks for being honest, Archie.” Betty smiled. “I guess you’re right.” Ronnie admitted.
“I don’t know about you girls, but right now, I could eat a horse!” Archie’s tummy rumbled. “You’ll have to settle for a burger, fries, and milkshakes.” Betty giggled. “Let’s hit the food court!” Veronica suggested. With that, Betty, Veronica, and Archie left the shop and found themselves a table in the food court. They ate their food. “Archie, while you finish your milkshake, Betty and I will go shopping again.” “Okay, go ahead,” Archie said. When the girls left, Archie slurped the last of his strawberry and vanilla milkshake. Now I’ll throw this in the trash. Archie thought. Archie walked off to the trash can, leaving the girl-zilla on the table. Nearby, a little girl and her mother were walking around when a drop of the little girl’s ice-cream fell. The little girl did not notice and slipped on it, sliding forward with her cherry soda. “Eeeek!” She shrieked. “What are you doing?” The mother screamed. The little girl managed to stop herself from falling down, but could not do the same for her soda. The soda’s contents spilled all over the floor, but worst of all, some of it landed onto the girl-zilla! Archie came to his table and picked up Dilton’s invention, not knowing what had happened to it. He went back to the shop Betty and Veronica were in and started looking for them. He had just entered the place when who did he bump into? Cheryl Blossom, that’s who!
“Oh! Hi, Cheryl. What are you doing?” “Hi Archie! I was shopping. Are you here with any one?” Cheryl asked. Betty and Veronica saw Archie And Cheryl together and hurried over to where they were. “Archie Andrews! You have some nerve!” Veronica scolded. “Yeah!” Betty agreed. “You were supposed to be here with us!” “But…I was…I….” Archie stuttered. “You cad! You didn’t tell me you were here with any one else!” Cheryl added in her two cents. Waitaminute! Archie gasped. The girl-zilla isn’t beeping or anything! He realized. “Look, girls, I’m really sorry this happened, I just came in and saw Cheryl, and so I said hi. I was going to Betty and Ronnie, and Cheryl, I was about to tell you that. I’m sorry that I made you all upset.’ Archie apologized. “Hmm… well, in that case…apology accepted!” Betty smiled, along with Cheryl and Ronnie. “Gee, thanks for forgiving me, girls, I…” Archie was interrupted by the girl-zilla which was disturbing everyone by making sounds that Moose would make if he played the cello. “Archie, is this some kind of a twisted prank?!!” Ron asked. “No, it’s this thing, its gone crazy!!!” Archie replied. “Find a way to stop it before the shopkeepers throw us out and ban us for life!” Cheryl shrieked while she, and everyone else, covered their ears. The Shop’s window broke and Archie franticly examined the girl-zilla. He had no idea that it was acting that way because some one spilled soda on it. “I think I found the off button!” Archie informed everyone. “Then hurry up and press it!” Veronica ordered Archie. Archie pressed the button…only to have the girl-zilla explode into a million pieces! Betty, Veronica, Cheryl, and Archie were covered with ashes and metal parts and the fire alarm immediately went off. “Sorry to cause this mess, but I’ve gotta’ go!” Archie told any one that was listening and the shop keeper. Archie and the girls ran out of the shop and the mall before any one could say anything, leaving the surprised and annoyed people behind. “Archie Andrews, if you think you can just run away and that we’ll forget everything that just happened, you’re wrong!” Ron screamed as she, Cheryl, and Betty chased him, swinging their heavy purses high in the air. “Wait ‘till I get my hands on you…!”Cheryl threatened. ‘You’ll have to wait for when I’m done with him!” Betty grumbled. Archie headed towards the safety of Dilton’s lab.
“What on earth happened to you, Archie?’ Dilton gasped as Archie limped into his lab with bruises, torn clothes, and a frown. Archie answered, “Well, at first your girl-zilla device was really useful, but then I ran into the real girl-zilla… in fact, three of them!”

GIRL-ZILLA

"I AM SO TIRED OF THIS THING!" Archie Andrews screamed, walking into POP TATES it had been two weeks scince Archie got his GIRL-ZILLA from Dilton Doliey the town genius. "Whats the matter Archie, maybe I can help." Pops asked "okay, well heres the story...

BEEP-BEEP. (busy again what is he doing, he better answer this phone soon or I swear...) RING-RING. "Hello?" "Betty, do you know where Archie is, we had a date tonight." Veronica Lodge said " I kept calling him but his phone is busy, I thought he was talking to you. Betty Cooper replied. " well were gonna find out, grab your jacket, I will be there in a flash.

HONK-HONK. Betty grabbed her jacket and ran outside,. "Lets get a move on Betty, where gonna bust him if hes talking to you no who." " Lets not even think about it Ron."

SCREECH! " Lets go find out whats up." Veronica said, now steamed up. DING-DONG "Hello, oh hi Betty Veronica come on in Archie's in his room. "thaks Mrs.Andrews." Betty said politetly. They both ran up the stairs. they knocked on the door. "Hold on Cheryl someones at my door." Betty and Veronica completly blew up at his words.

"Archie what happened next." POP TATE said. Well..

Betty ,Ronnie, H-h-how are y-y-you.

Pops all I can say now is there was a lot of yelling and screaming. so...

(I am such a doofus.) Archie thought on his way to Dilton Doliey's lab. Once he got there "Hi Archie." Dilton said. "Dilt I need you to invent something to keep me out of hot water with the girls." "okay, I will take a minute." He did only take a minute. Dilton deepened his voice and said : "PRESENTING THE GIRL-ZILLA!" "WOW! what does it do?"

After an hour of explaining. Archie finally got it.

And thats how it happened Pops. I don't now what I'm gonna do.

"oh on" exclaimed Archie "I was suppose to be at Ronnie`s 10 minutes ago, I`ll swear I set my alarm for 8:00 .... MOM!"
"Be quite Archie Andrews," said Mary Andrews "your father, need I remind you, got in late last night, stressed from overworking
"Mom did you turn my alarm off ?" "oh well," she says
"I guess I did now that you mention it, I didn`t want the sound to wake Fred, why ?" But Archie was already out the door and halfway down the block by the time his Mom finished *wheeze* *puff* *pant* "hey Ron.Im sorry Im late but..."
"I have no time for your poor explinatinos Archie.Might I remined you that proper ladies need proper care and the does not mean showing up at 8:15 dressed in a pajama shirt that says i love Betty!"

"Ronnie,lambypie,sweettums just let me explain." Archie moned from the porch steps
"Dont let it get you down Arch,hey look at the bright side maby she passed out from overheating."
"Jug," says Archie "I don't really think that is important right now."
"You have to much stress pal.Your trying to juggle Ronnie is like juggling a hot patato.Oh and by the way did you know your whereing a pink PJ shirt that says i love betty."

Well I did just come from creating my invention called girl-zilla. says Dilton. well how does it work? asks Archie. well its a device that resembles a cellphone but actually it notify's you when people of the female persuasion, detects negitve energy from them. awesome that is exactly what i need! exclams Archie. ok here you go. says Dilton. oh and about a couple of weeks come to my lab and tell me how it went. he says. ok i'll do that. says Archie.

The next day..

Archie is walking to Dilton's lab.
hey Archie what are you doing here...and why are you wet? asks Dilton.

well ron wouldnt forgive me so i went to betty's house. Archie started.
and betty forgave me but she said i had to treat her to a date. so i agreed. i took her to the fair and we went on a ride called the love boat..we went threw a tunnel and everything and before we came out.. go on! says Dilton.it starts beeping. but it didnt show anything on the screen. so i thought it just made a mistake..then we came out... who else would be there but reggie AND veronica! archie says shaking his head. it turns out reggie and ron where heading to go to a roller coaster and they passed by there. ARCHIE ANDREWS!!! screams veronica. you come and appoligize to me then you go ask betty!?!
archie and betty get out of the boat.

Pop handed a sad looking Archie a chocolate milkshake as Dilton Doily
walked into the malt shop.
"Hi Arch. Why the long face?" Dilton asked sitting down on the chair next
to him.
"Betty and Veronica are angry at me. I forgot that I had made a date with
Betty for last night, so I made another date with Ronnie at the same time
which I also forgot, and then I went out with Cheryl," Archie replied
glumly.
"Didn't you explain?" Dilton asked.
"Yes, and I thought they'd be happy that'd I'd told the truth, but Ronnie
had Smithers throw me out, and Betty stomped my foot." Archie rubbed his
throbbing toes.
"Girls are so hard to figure out sometimes! Like this girl in my history
class, Jill Kennedy! I have a huge crush on her, but I can't tell if she
likes me, she's so shy she doesn't talk to anyone but her friends, and none
of them will tell me if she likes me too! Dilton, do you have any ideas in
that big brain of yours to help me?"
"Well Archie, I just so happen to have recently invented a machine to read
people"s minds." Dilton smiled with pride.
"I couldn't do that Dilton, that's an invasion of privacy!" Archie
exclaimed.
"Well it's just an old cell phone that I modified and the keypad still
works, so you type in key words in her thoughts you want to hear and it
searches her thoughts!" Dilton explained, and pulled the cell phone from
his pocket.
"I can call it girl-zilla." He beamed with pride.
" So it displays her thoughts on the screen?" Archie had grabbed the device
from Dilton's hands and was fiddling with it.
"Yes, I have to get home now, but I'll see you at school tomorrow, with the
girl-zilla I'm sure."
"Later Dilton!" Archie called, filled with excitement.

"Hey Jill," Archie held back a giggle as he sat in the desk next to her.
"Oh hi Archie," Jill mumbled. Archie was rapidly typing in key words:
Archie, cute, date, nice, funny, great, restaurant, dinner, and fun.
" So, Jill what do you like to do?"
" I dunno," Jill answered. Words flashed from the phone Archie held under
his desk: In-line skating and hiking is fun.
"I know I like to go in-line skating and I love to hike." Archie smiled as
he tried to get Jill to think they had a lot in common. Jill looked at
Archie.
"Really" Those are my all time favorite activities!"
"You don"t say" What"s your favorite food?" Archie continued to probe
Jill"s mind.
"I'm not sure." More letters flashed across the small screen: My favorite
dinner is probably spaghetti and meatballs.
"I positively adore spaghetti and meatballs." Archie was slowly winning
Jill with his lies.
"What? That's my favorite!" Archie grinned as the final message flashed
across the tiny screen: Wow, Archie is great! He"s cute and nice and the
girls all say he"s funny too, I hope he asks me out on a date.
"So Jill, how would you like to go out for some spaghetti tonight?" Archie
asked.
"Yes! I'd love to!" Jill answered.
"What"s your favorite restaurant?"
"Surprise me!" More words shone one the screen. "That's her favorite
restaurant?" Archie thought, suddenly very confused. " Oh well, as long as
Jill"s happy with me."

"Why am I blindfolded Archie?" Jill asked as Archie led her down the
sidewalk.
"You told me to surprise you, and I know you"ll love this place!"
"Here we are!" Archie removed the blindfold from Jill"s eyes, her smile
huge, anticipating her favorite restaurant. But it quickly faded as she saw
where she was.
"Archie, why are we at Dan E Spaghetti"s Pasta Palace?"
"Isn't this your favorite place to eat?" Archie asked very confused.
"Archie I'm sorry, but I think that this place is the worst place to eat
ever!"
"But the Girl-zilla said you loved it here!"
"What said what?" Now Jill was confused.
"Nothing, nothing. I reserved a table so can you eat here just this once?"
"Fine Archie, fine."

"What will you cute lil' kids have to eat?" asked the waiter dressed in a
rat costume.
"I'll have the-"
"it's okay Jill I'll order for you." Archie punched in his new key words on
the Girl-zilla: Eat, food and yummy.
"I'll have spaghetti and my girlfriend here will have?"Archie looked down
at the phone.
"She'll have a pizza with extra cheese."
"Archie That's it!" I hate cheese, I hate this place and I hate that stupid
rat!" Jill rushed out of the restaurant, leaving Archie alone to stare at
the Girl-zilla.

"Dilton! Your device didn'twork! It worked at first but then it told me
the opposite of what she thought!"
"Oh, well its accuracy depends on how many minutes it has left and I had
lost it.."
"And?"
"I found it with Veronica."

archie was at pop's when veronica came stroming in. "ARCHIE ANDEWS WE HAD A DATE TONIGHT"! she screamed. "that was tonight"? he said "YES IT WAS TONIGHT"! she yelled "sorry veronica I forgot". huph she said walked out archie was about to head home when he saw dilton. maybe he can help thought archie. "hey dilton" he said. "oh hey archie" said dilton what's up? archie told him what happened. "I think I can help you archie". dilton said the headed for diltons house when they got there dilton gave archie a cellphone. "uh dilton what do I need a cellphone for"? "it's not a cellphone it's girl-zilla whenever a girl is getting mad at you it will alert you". dilton said "how will it alert me"? archie asked "you'll see". dilton said. the next day archie went over to veronica's house when she came down she said "what do you want"? "look veronica I'm sorry I forgot our date how about we go to pop's tonight". archie said ok archie just don't forget. veronica said she started to hug him but then girl-zilla shocked him OUCH!

Part 2
He looked around but instead of seeing Betty he saw Veronica walking up to him with a sour expression on her face. He gulped. He turned around to find Angela standing beside him. SHe looked angry too.
"Uh-Oh I didn't tell them the day did I?" Archie thought.
He looked up and saw Moose and Midge standing there. Midge was crying and pulling Moose away but he wasn't listening.
"Maybe Betty and Ashley won't show up." He thought hopefully.
But he saw Betty and Ashley standing a few steps away chatting.
He backed away slowly. They hadn't noticed him yet.
"This is the time to get ready for Betty, Veronica, Midge, Ashley, Angela's date!" The phone spoke.
He glared at the phone as he walked to the bathroom away from the girls.
He turned the phone over to find a small antena sticking out.
"So this is a walkie-talkie. Someone's been playing with my brain. It completely slipped my head that I forgot to tell them the dates. They must have thought it was today." He thought angrily, "I would have normally have asked each girl out on a different day. Dumb Girl-Zilla."
"There must be some way to get out of this." He thought, "Maybe if I could just slip to Dilton's house."
He quickly stepped out and ran to the back door. He crashed into Reggie.
"Hey!" Archie cried as he fell back.
Reggie looked surprised and quickly put something away.
"What are YOU doing here?" Reggie asked annoyed.
"Nothing." Archie ran past him to Dilton's house.

AT DILTON"S HOUSE

"What's up, Archie?" Dilton asked as he came out of his lab.
"Dilton what did you do to the Girl-Zilla?" Archie asked.
"What do you mean?" Dilton asked surprised.

Dilton took a quick look at it.
"I'm sorry Arch! But I didn't do that." Dilton replied.
Archie thought of Reggie putting something away.
"Must be another walkie-talkie." He thought angrily.
He ran back to the restaurant as fast as he could. By then Reggie had heard what had happened at Dilton's house and was now half way home.
Archie ran straight into the crowd waiting for him. Reggie had let them on. He had spilt the beans!!
"Archie Andrews! Not only did you ask all of us out on the same day but you arrived late too." Betty screamed.
He looked around. Ahley was almost in tears and Midge was carming her down.
Archie gulped.
"I wish I was a girl. They can easily cry without any fuss!" Archie thought as he looked at Ashley, "Even a kid can say it wasn't my fault but now I have to face the music."
He gulped.
"Guys I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to do this. I asked you all out on seperate days but somehow we got here together." Archie said closing his eyes, "Look here's what happened I asked Dilton to help me with my girl problem and he did creating a Gir-. Creating a kinda device that tells the emotion a girl is feeling and avoiding them. But someone fiddled with that. Someone that is Reggie took my machine and replaced it with a walkie-talkie. From there he controlled my dates and so on...."
Archie opened his eyes.
No one had listened to him! They had all surrounded Ashley.
Tears stung his eyes.
"I can't believe this. I won't cry now and here." He thought wiping his eyes quickly.
He walked away with his hands in his pockets.
In the group of girls.
"Did you see him?" Betty whispered.
"Yeah! He was crying." Angela replied.
Midge and Moose walked away.
"We have to do something." Veronica said, "We know he is telling the truth. Reggie is the culpret."
"I know!" Ashley cried.
"SSSSSSSS" Ashley lowered her voice.
"Great idea!." Betty cried.

THE NEXT DAY

The day before Archie had gone home and crashed (Not an accident but to sleep!).
He got up finding his mother shaking him hard.
"Get dressed you are invited to Veronica's house." She shook him.
He got up and changed.
He RAN all the way to Veronica's house.
"Awesome! Maybe they forgave me!" Archie thought cheerfully as he entered her house.
Wehen he entered the next room he found himself face to face with Reggie. But unfortunately for Reggie, he was hanging on the chandler (You know the thing put up on the ceiling for decoration.)
"Archie! There you are." Veronica cried, "Hope you like our new decoration piece! I chose it out." Veronica smiled.
THe rest of the girls came out.
"We are treating you to all the icecreams you want Archie-" Betty said.
"For being nasty to you." Angela completed.
Archie smiled.
The girl-zilla didn't work but he won anyway!

Ps. Bad story I KNOW!!

Archie is getting ready for a movie date with Veronica when Betty calls! "Archie would you like to go to the disco after our date?" she asked.
"What date!!??"Archie exclaimed baffled. "our date tonight at 7:50 tonight!" Betty said. "Uhh no Betty." Archie said. He was in trouble. He had a date to go to the movies at 7:50 with Veronica!! He met Veronica at the movies and said " here's some money. Please go buy the tickets." Veronica went to buy the tickets. Betty arrived. "Betty go buy the snacks and here's your ticket.He handed her some money and the tickets and walked away. He then escorted Veronica in the theater and asked her to sit on the left side of the theater. But too late! Betty walked in as Veronica was sitting down.
"Archie what is Veronica doing here? We're on a date!" Betty exclaimed. " Archie WE are supposed to be on a date!" Veronica said furious. " Come on Betty lets go see if Reggie and George are busy tonight." Veronica said.
"Goodbye Archie" Betty said dryly. Betty and Veronica stalked out of the theater.Oh oh Archie thought as he walked home.
On the way he stopped at Dilton's house."Dilton do you have soething to get me on the good side of the girls?" he asked. "What a coincedence!" Dilton exclaimed. "I just in vented "Girl-Zilla" my greatest invention." Dilton said. He took a silver cellphone like thing from his pocket. "Girl-zilla will beep when there is negative energy coming from a chick." Dilton explained. "WOW! Thanks Dilton."Archie thanked Dilton. "Now who should I try it on?" he mused. 'I know i'll start with Veronica and then Betty." he said aloud. He walked up to Veronica but before he could say anything she said" Go away you creep I never want to see you again!!" she shouted. So Archie walked up to Betty and said" Betty would you like to go out with me?" Betty had cooled down and since she loved Archie she said "Okay Archie!" Archie said" I want to make it up to you so I'm going to take you to that new Japaneese restauraunt you wanted to go to.Pick you up at 7:00" when they got to the restauraunt Archie went to the bathroom. But a waiter carrying a pitcher of water ran in to him and Archie got wet. He got back from the bathroom and sat down. But Reggie and Veronica had arrived and sat at the table next to them. Betty and Archie were holding hands when the girl-zilla started beeping but there was nothing on the screen so he ignored it. But after the dinner Betty was getting picked up by her father so he gave her a goodnight kiss at their table. Just like that with no beep Veronica threw her glass of water at Archie and said" You are such a creep!You try to ask me out and then you ask Betty out just to bother me!" Betty suddenly stamped on Archie's foot. "That is so rude!" she exclaimed. Betty,Veronica and Reggie left the restaurant. Archie furious stalked of to Dilton's house. "What;s wrong?" Dilton asked." Your stupid machine dosen't work!" Archie shouted."Well let's see what's wrong" Dilton said as he started opening the girl-zilla. SPLOOSH! Water started spilling out of the god-zilla. "Arch did you spill water on the girl-zilla?" Dilton asked.
"No but a waiter did." Archie replied." That's why it dosen't work Archie it's not waterproof!" Dilton explained.

part 1

Archie had a rough encounter with betty and veronica last night and was upset over it, when dilton asked him about the incident archie said "betty and ron both showed up at the same time when he was out with his pal regina, they did not even let him exlain that it was'nt a date".
Although betty and veronica were over with the incident Archie was'nt, he was quite embarrassed in front of Regina last night.
Seeing Archie all tensed Dilton took archie to his locker and handed him a device which appeared to be a cellphone, archie did not seem impressed at first and asked dilton, "how is a cellphone going to help me", dilton replied "it is not a simple cellphone its a GIRL-ZILLA, archie seemed confused yet interested, dilton explained "this is my latest invention and it will help you detect any negative vibes that a gal gives to you" archie scraching his head was still not clear about the device and said " i still cant get it, how is this thing going to help me out!!"...dilton said "whenever this thing beeps stop fooling around, sort of a red alert for you.......

Later that night archie was taking betty out on an elegant date and somehow had'nt informed veronica knowing that she was supposed to be out with reggie......
Archie went to betty's sharp on time and gave her some flowers and a box of candies, they went to a nice restaurant.
Knowing that he had his GIRL-ZILLA in his pocket he was relaxed...but troubles had not started for archie yet.
Meanwhile in the restaurant the device had encountered a problem and started beeping while archie was kissing betty, this took archie by surprise he backed to attend his device...this happened several times which made archie nervous cause betty seemed in good mood and veronica was nowhere to be seen.
After beeping suddenly five or six times GIRL-ZILLA was at rest and Archie felt relaxed, just then ron walked in with reggie and seeing archie mingling with betty went completly jealous, she walked over to archie and in a bad tone said, "hi archie you seem busy" this time the device never beeped and archie remained calm and went on being all mushy with betty cause he did not want to ignore betty in front of ron, and said "yes i wanted to make up with betty for last night" not realising that ron was getting furious [as the GIRL-ZILLA had'nt beeped this time] archie went on to kissing betty in front of ron, this made veronica mad and she splashed icecream soda over archie.
Archie ended up having another embarrassing night...this time Thanks to GIRL-ZILLA.
The next day at school archie was seen chasing dilton around with GIRL-ZILLA in his hands beeping loudly.

Archie had a date with Veronica and Betty on the same night. He also was going to the baseball game with Jughead.
He really, really wanted to go to the baseball game with Jughead because he asked first and it was because it was the first play off game of the season. You know Archie he is a sucker for girls.
Dilton and Archie we're walking down the street heading to Pop Tates.
" Jeesh Dilt, what am I going to do? I have two dates and I'm going to the baseball game with Jughead."
" Well, why dont you pick the one you want and tell the other two im sorry but i cant."
" Dilton I cant do that Betty and Veronica will be really mad at me."
" ok well I dont know what to do for you then."
" well do you have a gadget."
"Bygolly i think i can make one."
So they rushed back to Dilts lab. Archie watched as Dilton made the gadget.
It was finisehed. I call it the girl-zilla."
" What does it do?"
" It alerts you anytime a girl has a negative attitude towards you."
" o, sweet."
Archie took the gadget then set it down to help Dilton clean up. After they were done cleaning up. He graved the gadget that was suppost to help.
That night he called Betty and told her he wasnt feeling alright.
" Betty, 'cough' Im not feeling that well.
" O I'm sorry to here that well I hope you feel better."
He said the same thing to Veronica.
He called Jug and told him he will be there at 6:00.
That night Betty called Veronica and asked if she would like to go to the baseball game at 6:00.
" I dont like baseball games but it will get us a chance to hang out."
As Archie and Jughead went to the game the gadget started going off.
" O no someone is mad at me."
" Ive got to hide."
He hid but no one came so they just started walking.
Betty and Veronica got there and saw a certain redheaded boy.
They sat there looking mad.
" ARCHIE ANDREWS YOU LIED TO ME." they both said at the exact time.
they looked at each other then noticed they both said the same thing. They got even madder.
They got two things of pop that they squirted on Archie.
Later that day he went to Diltons lab.
"Dilton this gadget doesnt work."
Dilton looked at it then realized."
"Archie thats my cellphone."

After a day of chores Archie was verry tierd and went strait to bed fergetting that he had a date with Veronica. Wen she had arived at Archie's house she rang the dorbell
and wokeup Archie, he came
down the stairs and opend the dor ron saw Archie all dirdy and stinky she was furius and started screaming at Archie. Wen she left (archie was all brused and...)he said to himself that he should get away from the girls for a bit so he went to see Dilton..................

"Woah! That was the best movie ever made! Hey Arch...Remember when Godzilla snatched that girl away! That was so funny!" Jughead laughed as he remembered, "Hey Arch are you even listening to me?"
"Huh?!" Archie looked up, "I'm sorry Jug...I've got so many things on my mind lately I can't get myself to concentrate."
"What's the problem Arch?" Jughead asked curiously.
"Betty and Veronica." Archie groaned, "They've been fighting so much now days."
"It's not your problem." Jughead said as he opened a candybar.
"They have been fighting over ME, Jug." Archie moaned.
"Hey why not ask Dilly for help? I mean he is a genius for problems after all." Jughead smiled,"Hey there's Dilly right now!"
Dilton walked towards them.
"Hey guys! You saw Godzilla?" Dilton asked.
"Yeah!" Archie sighed.
"What's wrong Archie?" Dilton asked concerned.
"Hey Dilton could you do me a favour?" Archie asked.
"Sure but what?" Dilton asked.
"I have a small problem with my luck with the girls." Archie said as he started to walk again.
"Arch...That's it! I've been thinking of something throughout the movie but I couldn't get mind on it properly." Dilton laughed, "I know how to solve your problem."

"Uh-oh! Here comes Betty and Veronica!" Jughead said looking at the 2 girls.
"Dilly, could you make that a rush job?" Archie asked gulping as he saw the expressions on the girls faces.
"Sure Arch! I'll get right to work." Dilton said.
He walked away.
"Archie! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" Veronica screamed.
"SHE's RIGHT WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN?" Betty cried.
"Umamamama.....With Jug here." Archie stammered.
"Don't pull me into this, Dude!" Jughead said turning away.
"You said you'd take me to a romantic spot on the beach." Betty screamed.
"You told ME that you'd take me to that new restaurant Lez' Royale!" Veronica shreiched.
"I'm sorry girls it slipped out of my mind." Archie gulped.
"On top of that you made a date with this low-life freak." Veronica cried.
"Low-life freak? Try a Rich-spoilt BRAT!" Betty said looking at Veronica with disgust.
Archie took this chance and slipped away. He ran to his house as fast as he could.

THE NEXT DAY

Archie ran to Dilton's house hoping that he wouldn't be seen by the girls. He finally reached there out of breath.
"Hey Arch!" Dilton shouted out to Archie, "Come around to the back."
Archie followed the instruction and ran to the back.
"Good! How did you like my controlled voice speaker out infront? I made it with so many stuff! I don't know when to begin!" Dilton said scratching his head.
"What about that machine you were going to make for me?" Archie asked reminding Dilton.
"Yeah Yeah!" Dilton said takin out a mobile phone.
"This is no time to make phone calls Dilton!" Archie cried.
"Archie Cool it! This is the machine I was talking about when I called you over." Dilton said, "Here's how it works it tells the emotion of the Girl like when she's sad, happy, angry. I named it the Girl - Zilla."
"COOL!" Archie cried.
"I made it different from your mobile phone because you might get confused. Oh and the Girl - Zilla also tells you when to make a date and when to break it. And reminds you to get ready for a date."
Archie grabbed it.
"Thanks Dil." Archie cried.
"That's it i guess." He said as he turned away, "Once your done with it for the day I would like to know how it went."
Archie nodded then ran off to find the girls.
First he went to Veronica's.
"You have some nerve showing up here asking for a date, Archie." Veronica cried.
"I'm sorry Veronica but please I won't do anything to embaress you." Archie told her.
Veronica sighed.
"Oh alright Archie but if you mess this up you're DEAD!" Veronica replied, "8:00 pm at the new restaurant."
Archie walked out of the house smiling to hinself.
"Now to Betty's." He thought.

AT BETTY"S HOUSE
"Archie! What are you doing here?" Betty asked still sore about the day before, "You had some nerve sneaking away yesterday."
Archie giggled nervously.
"Please come with me tomorrow to the new restaurant." Archie said pulling at his collar.
"Oh ok Archiekins." Betty sighed,
"8:00 pm at the new restaurant"
Archie ran out of the house jumoing with joy.
Suddenly, the Girl - Zilla mobile started beeping.
Archie picked it up.
"Now is the right time to make a date with Veronica."
"I already did that." Archie said smiling.
After a few minutes.
"This is the right time to make a date with Betty."
He smiled again.

AT THE CHOKOLAT SHOP

"This is the right time to ask Midge out."
"Cool!" Archie got up and walked to Midge but he saw Moose sitting next to her.
"This is the right time to ask Angela out."
Archie shrugged and asked Angela to go out with him to the new restaurant at 8:00 pm.
He quickly ordered a soda. Soon Ashley (the NEW girl) joined him.
"This is the right time to ask Ashley out."

Archie looked at Midge again. This time Moose wasn't there.
Taking this chance he asked Midge out to the new restaurant.

He was booked for the week with enough money for gifts and dates.

"I"m not sure." More letters flashed across the small screen: My favorite dinner is probably spaghetti and meatballs.
"I positively adore spaghetti and meatballs." Archie was slowly winning Jill with his lies.
"What" That"s my favorite!" Archie grinned as the final message flashed across the tiny screen: Wow, Archie is great! He"s cute and nice and the girls all say he"s funny too, I hope he asks me out on a date.
"So Jill, how would you like to go out for some spaghetti tonight?" Archie asked.
"Yes! I"d love to!" Jill answered.
"What"s your favorite restaurant?"
"Surprise me!" More words shone one the screen. "That"s her favorite restaurant?" Archie thought, suddenly very confused. " Oh well, as long as Jill"s happy with me."

"Why am I blindfolded Archie?" Jill asked as Archie led her down the sidewalk.
"You told me to surprise you, and I know you"ll love this place!"
"Here we are!" Archie removed the blindfold from Jill"s eyes, her smile huge, anticipating her favorite restaurant. But it quickly faded as she saw where she was.
"Archie, why are we at Dan E Spaghetti"s Pasta Palace?"
"Isn"t this your favorite place to eat?" Archie asked very confused.
"Archie I"m sorry, but I think that this place is the worst place to eat ever!"
"But the Girl-zilla said you loved it here!"
"What said what?" Now Jill was confused.
"Nothing, nothing. I reserved a table so can you eat here just this once?"
"Fine Archie, fine."

"What will you cute lil" kids have to eat?" asked the waiter dressed in a rat costume.
"I"ll have the-"
"It"s okay Jill I"ll order for you." Archie punched in his new key words on the Girl-zilla: Eat, food and yummy.
"I"ll have spaghetti and my girlfriend here will have?"Archie looked down at the phone.
"She"ll have a pizza with extra cheese."
"Archie that"s it!" I hate cheese, I hate this place and I hate that stupid rat!" Jill rushed out of the restaurant, leaving Archie alone to stare at the Girl-zilla.

"Dilton! Your device didn"t work! It worked at first but then it told me the opposite of what she thought!"
"Oh, well its accuracy depends on how many minutes it has left and I had lost it.."
"And?"
"I found it with Veronica."

"Archie!Why we're you out with betty friday night?We were suppose to go to the movies to see dream pearls!" Veronica said.
"Um well i uh." said archie.
"Look Archie!I'm just as important as Betty Cooper but you treat me like nothing!I don't ever want to talk to you again!" Yelled Veronica.

"Archie!We were suppose to go to pop tate's yesterday night!What happened?"Yelled Betty.
"Well something came up!"explained Archie.

"Hiya Arch!Just wait there.I'm working on my latest invention!"Exclaimed Dilton.
"Really?It looks just like a cell-pphone"Laughed Archie.
"Oh!That's where your wrong my good man!This little device is known as girl-zilla!"Said Dilton.
"Really?What does it do?"Asked Arch.
"Are you ready?This little thing alerts you anytime negative energy comes on from the female kind!"Dilton said.
"DILT MY GOOD MAN!This might be just what I'm looking for!"Exclaimed Archie."I'm tired of getting in hot water with the girls.Will this device help?"
"Percisely.But it won't only work for Ronnie and ol' Bets!"Said Dilton.
"I'll take it!"Yelled Archie.
"Ok Archie!I'll test it with you!"Dilton Said.
"Bye Dilt!"Said Archie as he left.

After Dilton had given Archie the Girl-zilla, Archie went walking around Riverdale, trying out his new gadget. Suddenly he remembered he
had promised a date with Betty that night, but also asked Cheryl Blossom out that night to the same restaurant. "At least my Girl-Zilla
will help me keep out of trouble." Archie thought to himself. Later that night, Archie sat at a table with Betty. He rubbed his hands together nervously as he waited for Cheryl to show up.
"Archie," Betty said curiously, "Are you okay? You seem troubled." As these words came out of Betty's lips, Cheryl Blossom stormed over to Archie's
table and planted her hands on her hips. "Archie Andrews! What is this blondie doing here!?" Cheryl bellowed. Archie waited for his Girl-zilla
to ring, but it remained silent. "Archie, what is Cheryl doing here??!!" Betty said, glaring at the helpless Archie. Both girls glowered at him. Suddenly,
Archie heard a ring, but it wasn't his Girl-Zilla. It was his regular cell phone. The call was from Veronica. "H-hello?" Archie said into the cell phone.
"ARCHIE ANDREWS! YOU ARE SO LATE! WHERE ARE YOU!?YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PICK ME UP HALF AN HOUR AGO!" Veronica screamed.
"Wrong number!!" Archie said into the phone, making his voice sound chirpy and high. Then he shut the phone. How could he forget about his movie date with Ronnie.
He still waited for his Girl-Zilla to ring, but it didn't. Archie looked up into the angry faces of Betty and Cheryl Blossom. "I um..I..." he stammered. Cheryl grabbed the bowl of chicken soup
in front of her and dumped on Archie. "Was the chicken soup hot? Here is something to cool you off!" Betty then threw her ice cream at Archie.
Later, Archie stormed into Dilton's lab.
"Dilton!!"
"Yes?"
"This Girl-Zilla doesn't work at all!" Archie yelled.
Dilton took the Girl-Zilla and looked it over.
"Um, Arch, you didn't turn it on!" Dilton said, but Archie had already went home to wash off the chicken soup and ice cream on him.

Archie was having his usual problems with girls. After having just been thrown out of Veronica's house, Archie decided to go to Dilton for help. "Hey Arch, what's up?" Dilton asked when Archie showed up at his lab. "I was wondering if you have anything that could help me with my girl problems, Dilt." Archie said. "In fact, I just completed an invention I call the Girl-Zilla. It looks like a cell phone, but will alert you any time a girl directs negative energy at you. I was going to ask you if you'd take it for a test drive." Dilton explained to Archie. "Hey, cool! I'd love to take it for a spin!" Archie exclaimed. So Archie went to Pop's with the Girl-Zilla. Soon, Veronica stormed in and the Girl-Zilla beeped. But Veronica started shouting at Reggie. That doesn't make sense, Archie thought, and whipped out the Girl-Zilla. Words started appearing on the screen. This planet appears interesting, read Archie. "Huh?" Archie said to himself. Just then Raj came in and sat down next to Archie. "Hey, what kind of phone is that, Arch?" he asked. "A negativity device that appears to be malfunctioning." Archie replied. "Oh," Raj said. "I don't know if this is real, but those words look like transmissions on alien ships." Prepare for landing in Riverdale, said the Girl-Zilla. "Yikes! Let's go outside!" shouted Archie. Outside, Archie and the gang watched as a bleeping UFO landed in Picken's Park. It was followed by smaller ships. Dilton ran up to Archie. "Hey Arch, my alien transmission reciever has been getting no readings. So I looked inside and I discovered that I wired it to detect girls coming. Yours got wired to detect alien transmissions. Sorry. Anyways, I'm going to interview the aliens. Bye!"

Archie was at Pop's with Veronica, when all of a sudden, Betty slammed the doors open and marched towards the both of them.
"Archie Andrews! You had a date with me!" Betty shouted waving her arms around.
Veronica was so furious that her hair literally started to catch on fire.
"Stay away you frumpy blonde!" Veronica yelled.
"Why don't you? You spoiled brat?!" screamed Betty glaring at Veronica.
"In your dreams!" she yelled back.
Archie got up and tried to stop them, but they shoved him aside angrily.
"Stop it you two! I'm sick of you girls fighting with each-other!" Archie shouted.
"Then dump her!" both Ron and Bets demanded.
Archie had nothing to say. But before anything could get worse, Archie walked out of Pop Tate's and bumped into Jug.
"Oh, hey, Jug" Archie said gloomily.
"Did something happen with Betty and Veronica?" Jug asked.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" Archie replied.
"I thought I heard a volcanic eruption, but it was Betty and Veronica yelling," Jughead laughed, "That's one big fight they're having!"
"Tell me about it!" Archie sighed, "I had a date with Betty and Veronica at the same time and same place- it's so hard to say no to them."
Jughead looked around and said, "I got a solution to all your problems, pal."
"If it's food, then I CAN easily say no to that, Jug," Archie said.
"Dilton," he said, "He can make some sort of crazy invention for you!" Jughead explained.
"Hey, Jug, that's a great idea!" Archie smiled as he jumped with joy, "Come on! Let's go to him right now!"
But before Archie could run from the two explosive girls, Betty and Veronica grabbed his arm.
"Oh, no you don't!" Betty said angrily. "And where are you off too?"
Archie panicked and tried to think of an excuse.
"Er, uhh, I forgot to do my homework!" Archie stuttered.
"Archie, it's summer vacation you nut!" Veronica said stomping her foot down. "Let me make it clear: Where are you off to?"
"Umm, I'm getting presents for you guys!" Archie said forcing a smile.
"Ooh! Presents! What kind?" Veronica and Betty asked curiously.
"Er, It's a surprise?" Archie continued.
"Well, if that's what you're getting, then run along," Betty giggled. As soon as Betty finished talking, the two girls scurried off.
"Boy, am I glad that's over!" Jughead gasped. "Let's leave now!"
"Okay, and to Dilton's Lab we'll go!" Archie said running.
Archie and Jughead arrived at Dilton's Lab and Archie knocked on his door.
"Gee, where is he? Do you think he left?" Archie asked.
"I doubt it. He never leaves his Bunsen burners." Jughead yawned.
Jughead knocked on Ditlon's Lab door twenty times non-stop.
"We'll knock on his door so many times that it'll knock him over!" Archie laughed.
Jughead, who was not amused by Archie's corny joke, was about to knock on his door again. But before he knocked on the door, Dilton opened it.
"Hey, Archie and Jughead! What brings you two here?" Dilton asked while adjusting his glasses.
"I need your help, Dilton. I need you to invent something for me!" Archie explained.
"Okay, sure. Come on in." Dilton replied.
Archie and Jughead walked into Dilton's Lab and looked around.
"So, what's the thing you want me to invent, Archie??" Dilton asked.
"Well, I'm not exactly sure. But I need you to help me." Archie said, " I'm tired of Betty and Veronica getting mad at me wherever I go. On a date, to the movies, at school -------you get the point! It's driving me nuts!"
"Let me think for a second" Dilton said.
Dilton sat down and began to write his thoughts down onto a piece of paper.
"Archie, may I see your cell-phone please?" Dilton asked.
"Sure, no problem." Archie replied handing his cell-phone to Dilton.
Dilton examined his cell-phone and continued writing. Then, he began to create his invention. He created another cell-phone, just like Archie's, and put it aside next to his sheet of paper. A few minutes later, Dilton jumped up and said, "I got it, Archie! I created my new invention!" Then, he walked away from his desk and said, "It's finished!"
"Really? What is it? Let me see it!" Archie asked in excitement.
"Okay, let me go get it" Dilton replied. Dilton walked to his desk and grabbed the cell-phone.
"I call it: 'Girl-Zilla!" Dilton said raising his finger up.
"That's Veronica's middle name," Jughead laughed.
Archie scratched his head, "That's just a cell-phone, Dilton.."
"Ah, yes. But not like any other ordinary cell-phone! Dilton explained. "This cell-phone can detect any negative energy directed at you from people of the female persuasion."
"So, how does it alert me?" Archie asked.
"Simple, you just choose a ring-tone for it and it'll ring whenever it detects any negative energy! And I also made it unable to receive any calls so that you won't get confused if it's detecting the negative energy or not! " answered Dilton.
"Groovy! Thanks, Dilton!" thanked Archie. Archie grabbed the cell-phone and ran towards the door.
"No, problem. Just tell me if there's any confusion going on with the device!" Dilton said. "Oh, you almost forgot your original cell-phone, Archie!"
"That's okay, Dilton! I'll pick it up later, I gotta' go find the girls!" (Archie)
Archie and Jughead ran out of his lab then Jughead said, "Hey, Archie. What are the presents that you're going to get them?"
"Golly! I forgot!" Archie gasped. "What should I do?"
"That's your problem, and you can keep it, buddy!" Jughead replied.
"Thanks a bunch," Archie said sarcastically.
Then a light-bulb appeared on top of Archie's head.
Archie smiled, "I got an idea! I'll be the present! Me, myself and I!"
Archie ran off to find Betty and Veronica leaving Jughead behind.
"Groan and me, myself, and I are hungry!" Jughead said walking along.
Archie ran to the Lodge mansion first.
Smithers opened the door and said, "Miss. Veronica Lodge, the nut of yours has arrived."
Veronica ran down stairs to Archie.
"Ooh, is this about the present?" Veronica asked.
"Yeah! I brought you the most handsome guy that anyone could find!" Archie replied.
"Oooh, Where is he?" Veronica asked.
Archie slapped his fore-head. "It's me! And I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out on a date with me at Pop's, 8:00."
Veronica just looked at Archie and his cell-phone began to ring the tune of Sugar Sugar.
"Uh oh," Archie thought, "My cell-phone's detecting negative energy - I'd better run!"
But before Archie could run, Veronica kissed Archie and said, "Oh, Archie! That is SO sweet of you!"
"Huh?" Archie thought. "That's not right - maybe she's hiding her anger inside!"
Veronica continued, "Pick me up at 8:00 ( P.M) sharp, Archiekins. I'll see you until then!"
"Er, okay, Ronnie! Bye!" Archie replied.
"Gee Wiz" Archie thought looking at his cell-phone. "I'd better give her the best time of her life. If this cell-phone says she's angry, then SHE'S angry."
As Archie was getting ready in his room, he looked at his watch.
"7:58!," Archie shouted, "Just a few minutes late, and Ronnie will really explode!"
Archie ran down stairs as fast as he could, as if Jughead would, if he saw food. He jumped into his old jalopy and headed towards the Lodge mansion. As soon as he arrived, he jumped out of his car and ran towards the door.
Archie looked at his watch. "8:01...I'm too late" He rang the glossy doorbell and Veronica opened the door.
"Archie! You are SO late, where were you?" Veronica yelled. "Huh?!"
"I, well, you see, Ronnie. I was getting ready, and-and, uhh?" Archie stuttered.
"Stop stuttering! Let's just leave" Veronica said rolling her eyes.
"Stupid cell-phone - it's supposed to ring!" Archie yelled in his head.
While Archie was driving, he handed Veronica a big-box of chocolates.
"This is for you, Ron," Archie said anxiously.
"Oh, thank you so much, Archie! I'm sorry that I got mad at you!" Veronica replied as she received her gift.
Archie's cell-phone rang again.
"Er, Ronnie?" Archie gulped.
"Yes, Archiekins?" Veronica replied.
"You're not a bit angry at me right? I mean your not hiding any anger towards me, are you?" Archie asked slowly.
"Why, no, Archie. Why do you ask," Veronica asked curiously.
"Oh, nothing" Archie replied.
Soon, they both arrived at Pop's and sat down in the back-booth.
Glancing at the smooth menu, Veronica said, "I'll order a burger with fries as the side-dish, how about you, Archie?"
"Oh, um, I'll get the same," Archie smiled.
Pop's took their order and said, "I'll bring you your dinner soon, I've got other customers waiting"
Then, Archie's cell-phone began to ring again.
"Archie, who keeps on calling you?" Veronica asked.
Archie looked at his cell-phone, "Oh, nobody. It's probab----"
"Here's your food!" Pop's interrupted.
"Thanks, Pop!" Archie said thanking him.

"Finally, geez - why don't you throw it away??!" Veronica sighed.

They both ate as Veronica was talking about her shopping-madness. As soon as they were done, Veronica said, "We had such a lovely time, Archie."

Archie immediately said, "I do want to talk, I'm really----"
"Archie, why are you so mean to US!?" Veronica and Betty both yelled interrupting him.
But before Archie could say another word, they both dumped the two malts on him and stomped their way out of Pop Tate's.
By the time Archie got up, Dilton, walked into Pop Tate's for a malt.

"No, that's the Girl-Zilla cell-phone, and keep it! -----You handed me my original cell-phone!" Archie replied.
Dilton adjusted his glasses and said, "Sorry, Arch! I must have gotten confused!"

Archie thanked Dilton once again. With this new device on his hands, nothing
could stop him from achieving his all-time goal, Keeping girls happy and
keeping him sane. Archie remembered once when he had misunderstood Veronicas pouty lips for a sign she

on his way, she whipped her raven tresses around and glared.

“Sure, sure, Dilton. I keep it in the sun, and fast blinking is bad news. Got it.” Archie snatched the necklace out of Dilton’s hand. “I’ll pay you when I get my allowance.”
Dilton blushed. “Really, Archie, there is no need for payment-” But Archie was already out the door.

The next day, Archie whistled as he pocketed the Girl-zilla on his way to school. Dilton might be the smartest high schooler in the world, but he had no sense of style. As far as Archie was concerned, the male necklace fad had gone out with the 80’s. He would keep the necklace in his pocket.
Archie slid into his desk as Mrs. Grundy began to take role. “Archie Andrews, late again, I see. Why don’t you go have a friendly chat with our substitute principal, Miss Blossom.”

As Archie shuffled to the principal’s office, he checked his Girl-zilla. Strange, he thought, it’s blinking.

Miss Blossom was in a bad mood. The plump fifty year old was in no mood for Archie’s shenanigans. “Archie Andrews? Mr. Weatherbee warned me about you. Detention!” She shouted. “You’ve been late four days in a row!”

As he walked down the hallway again, the Girl-zilla slipped out of his pocket. It was flashing. Uh oh, Archie thought, It must be Veronica...
After detention, Archie ran home and slammed and locked the front door. “Archie, you’re tracking mud all over the house!” his mother called.
“Not now, Mom!” Archie ran into his room and picked up his phone. He speed-dialed Veronica. “Ron, I gotta break our date for tonight!” he stammered as soon as she picked up the phone. He wondered if she was mad at him.
“Date? We didn’t have a date tonight.” she told him.
Archie was relieved. “Oh, that must have been with Betty. I-”
“You mistook me for Betty!?! You... you dummy! I wouldn’t date you for a million dollars!” Veronica slammed the phone down.
The next phone call went no better. “You mistook Veronica for me!?!” Betty shouted. “Goodbye, you nincompoop!” Archie heard a click. He checked the necklace. It was a steady red.
Archie called every girl he could think of, and they all ended the same way- rejection. He knew he had a date tonight, but with whom? Finally he hung up the phone. As he flopped out on his bed, he heard a POW! The Girl-zilla had exploded. So many females were mad at him, it couldn’t handle the negative energy. Finally the phone rang. It was Mrs. Grundy.
“Archie, have you forgotten our study date?”

And with that Veronica went away. But poor Archie was left behind feeling very upset. He was upset that he was in hot water every time with Betty or Veronica. Just then Jughead came and getting one look at Archie?s face understood that he was having some trouble with the girls. After explaining to Jughead what had happened Jughead told Archie to go to Dilton and Archie also thought that it was a good idea. So Archie went to Dilton?s lab.
Archie: Hi Dilt! I am having some problem so I thought that you could help me.
Dilton: Of course but what?s the problem?
Archie explained to Dilton the problem with the girls and Dilton said that he would have a device ready by tomorrow morning. So Archie went feeling a little happy.

Archie: Wow! It really is a cool device! It looks like a cell phone but would alert me any time it detected negative energy directed at me from the people of the female persuasion.

This went on for a week but Ron and Betty and all the other girls felt that there was something fishy going on because whenever they were frustrated with Archie he was nowhere to be seen. So all the girls appointed Reggie Mantle as their spy and after spying he told them that Archie had the Girl-zilla device (that what Dilton called it) that did?????????????????.
The girls were frustrated after learning this and decided to teach Archie a lesson. They knew they would have a hard time asking Dilton to help them.

All the girls persuaded Dilton so much to help them that he gave in but said that not a very severe lesson. All the girls agreed. Dilton told them that he had a plan and that they should come in the evening.

"I do beleive I can invent a device which complies to your situation." Dilton told him, adjusting his glasses.
"I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU JUST SAID BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!" Archie fell down on the ground, he was so exhausted from screaming. So Dilton went into his lab, while Archie rotted his brain on Dilton's sofa watching telivision. A few hours later Dilton emerged from his lab carrying a cell-phone.
"Dilt, that's a cool cell phone and all, but how's it gonna help me?" Archie asked.
"Ahh... is it a cell phone? Observe." Dilton pointed the phone directly at his mother, who was walking in. Immediately the cell phone started playing "Man eater".
"DILTON DOILEY!"
"Yes, mom?"
"You forgot to do the laundry!!!"
"I'll attend to it later. I have company."
"You better."
"I will." Mrs. Doiley stormed off.
"You see? It will always play "Man Eater" when a female with negative energy towards the cell phone holder approaches. I call it 'Girl-zilla'."
"COOL!" Archie exclaimed.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go try it out!" Dilton told him.

So, Archie went to Ronnie's house. But then Girl-zilla played the song, so he went to Betty's, with the same result. Next Cheryl's. The exact same thing happened! Then, he went into town, and the three of them had told all of their friends about what happened. So all of the girls started chasing Archie. But was he aware of it? No. Because "Man Eater" wasn't playing. So he was trampled and screamed at by 30 angry girls, wanting to avenge him. Limping on a crutch and with a black eye, Archie went to Dilton's.
"ARCH? WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!!?!?!?!"
"Your (cough) device (cough) is (cough cough) broken! It worked when Veronica (cough) and Cheryl (cough) and Betty were around (cough cough) but not when (cough) their 30 friends (cough) chased me (cough cough)."
"Oh. Well, let me take a look at it." He studied it for a minute, and then looked up and said:

archie headed to pop tates the whole time playing with the girl-zilla that looked exactly like the iphone he had been begging his parents for. he wondered if it had the iphone's features but alas it didn't it just detected negative energy and emotions of girls. he slid it back into his pocket. and continued walking to pop tates.

the minute archie got to pop tates archie had to see how the girl-zilla worked so when he saw betty and veronica sitting there he went over to veronica (knowing this would make betty jealous) and kiss her on the cheek. the moment he did so he heard a tune that sound as so:

sang in an african tone. this was obviously his "ringtone" so he quickly said "sorry 1 sec mom's callling me." he rushed to away from the counter to a booth and pulled out the girl-zilla he read " dear archie- elizabeth " betty" cooper is jealous- because you ignored her and only kissed veronica lodge on the cheek :( " archie laughed and thought wow is this an accurate device, i see it shows girls negetaive thoughts towards the owner, well this ring tone won't be going off at all because archie andrews is a lady pleaser! imagining himself in a silver knight suit.

Archie stood at the mall, leaning against one of the walls outside the store, with the Girl-zilla hidden in his pocket.
"Maybe I should test this thing out before I use it," Archie said, under his breath, as he waited for a girl to walk by. Just then, an incredibly pretty blonde girl with about four shopping bags walked out of the store. She saw Archie and walked over to him.
"Oh, Hey" she said. "My name is Caroline. What's yours"?
Uhh, um, I"m?" Archie couldn't think. "Archie!" he screamed, suddenly remembering his name. "I'm Archie."

"Listen, I was heading over to the food court. But my bags are SO heavy. Could you please help me?" Caroline made a puppy-dog face that made Archie laugh.
"Sure. I"ll help y-" but before Archie could finish his sentence, a huge siren went off. "Ahhh! Archie, what is that?" Caroline screamed above the noise
"I'm not sure, but I think I know what it is. Just a second!" Archie pulled the Girl-zilla out of his pocket. Written in big letters were:

WARNING! WARNING! THIS GIRL IS WEAK! CANNOT CARRY SMALL SHOPPING BAGS! DETECTING NEGATIVE ENERGY! CANNOT CARRY SMALL SHOPPING BAGS! DETECTING NEGATIVE ENERGY!

Oh my gosh. She was kidding about her bags being too heavy for her. Didn't the girl-zilla know that?
"Uh, I gotta go. Sorry Caroline!" He could tell that she was upset.
"O-Okay!! I"ll give you my number!!" Caroline shouted over the "cell phone's" insane alarm, which had died down a bit since it started, but it was too late. Archie was already several yards away.
By the time Archie got out of the mall, the girl-zilla stopped the siren. The funny thing is Archie thought, nobody actually cared that the girl-zilla was so loud. People stared, and some even came up to me, but they all just thought it was a weird ring tone! Archie guessed that the mall security didn't care either, thank goodness.
"I'm gonna get Dilton." Archie mumbled under his breath, as he was walking from the mall. While Archie walked over to Dilton's house, he passed by Betty's house and totally forgot that the girl-zilla was in his pocket. Archie went up to Betty's house and knocked on the door.
"Oh, hey Archie! You're just in time! I just finished making one of my strawberry shortcakes! Come on in."
"Okay Betty!" Archie said. He LOVED Betty's strawberry shortcake. It was the perfect thing to get him to forget what happened with the girl-zilla. THE GIRL- ZILLA!! Archie forgot about the girl-zilla 'till just now!
"Uh, betty" I've go to go. Sorry!" Archie said apologetically.
"Nonsense!" said Betty. "I've made a cake and you can dig in. please?"
"Fine." He just hoped that the siren wouldn't go off too loudly. But the siren didn't go off too loudly. It didn't even go off at all! Not when he ate the cake, and he and Betty talked, not when Betty asked Archie if he wanted to go to the beach with her, and not when Betty and Archie went on a picnic. They had a great time with no disturbance from the girl-zilla.
"Wow. I guess you are perfect Betty." Said Archie.

Archie's Problem

One lazy Saturday afternoon, Archie and Jug were sitting in Archie's den, just chilling. Jughead was snacking on a jumbo bag of potato chips while Archie was sitting on the couch with a dopey look on his face. "That face only means one thing Jughead mumbled, Archie's thinking about VERONICA"!! And yes, indeed it was true, Archie's thoughts had turned to Veronica, the lovley young maiden who Archie was dating. Suddenly, Archie's train of thought was interupted by the obnoxius blare of the phone. "I'll get it", Archie said jumping up from the couch. He picked up the phone and said,"hello, this is Arch-". "ARCHIE ANDREWS, Veronica screamed into the phone, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PICK ME UP AN HOUR AGO FOR OUR MOVIE DATE"!!! Archie's knees started to wobble for he knew what was coming next. " I AM SICK OF YOU ARCHIBALD ANDREWS, SICK SICK SICK"!! Veronica was still yammering on about how she was sick of Archie when his cell-phone started ringing. "Jug, could you get that" Archie said through clenched teeth. Jughead retrived the phone and threw it to Archie. While keeping one phone to his ear, he managed to open his cell-phone and say, "hello, this is Archi-". "ARCHIE, WHERE ARE YOU, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE ME FOR A BURGER, THREE HOURS AGO, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THREE HOURS"!!! Betty said into the phone. Suddenly Archie felt too overwhelmed, like he was going to dry heave. He quickly considered running away but he knew afterwards, he would never hear the end of it. So, Archie bravley turned his thoughts back to the two girls, yelling at him on the phone. The ringing in his ears made it almost impossible for him to hear and he felt like he was drowning, and gasping for breath. "Betty, Ronnie, just calm dow-". "ARCHIE, YOU MEAN THAT SNOB RONNIE IS ON THE OTHER LINE"!!, Betty yelled. "ARCHIBALD, THAT SHE-WIMP, BETTY IS ON THE OTHER LINE"!! Ronnie yelled. Archie was mad, SUPER MAD!! So he pressed the two phones together and carried them into the living room. Then he ran back to the den, where Jughead was sitting, still munching on his potato chips. Noticing the sad look on Archie's face, Jughead tried to give him some comforting words. "Too bad those girls don't have a manual", Jughead said. "JUGHEAD MY FRIEND, YOU ARE A GENUIS"!! Archie yelled, NOW I'VE GOT TO GO SEE DILTON"!!!!

Archie reached Dilton's lab in record speed. He entered the house and ran into the basement which doubled as Dilton's lab. "Dilton, my buddy, Archie said, I need your help". Archie explained to Dilton about his girl troubles. "I see, girl troubles, Dilton said ajusting his glasses. "Well, you are lucky you even have girl troubles, i haven't been on a date since ever." "That's why i created this little machine, it is shaped like a celluar phone but it is really tells you what the girl is feeling." Suddenly Dilton's Mother came into the room. Dilton pointed the device at her it read: Mrs. Martha Doiley, Feeling Happy beacuse taxes are paid, feeling surprised because Archie Andrews is in her basement. "Oh Archie what a surprise"!! Martha Doiley said. "Toldja it works" Dilton whispered, now skedattle, I have to perfect my robot".

Archie ran to Pop's eager to try out Dilton's invention. When he saw Veronica running toward him he pointed the little device at her. It said: Miss Veronica Lodge, Mad at Archie Andrews. Suggestion, run NOW!! So Archie ran across the street, where he saw Betty walking toward him with an angry look on her face. He didn't need a little machine to tell him what she was feeling, so he ran. "How's the girl-zilla going", Dilton said after he ran into Archie at Pop's. "What's a girl-zilla, oh wait the thingy i'm holding, right" Archie replied. "Yes, now i must get going". Dilton said.

Archie contuined using the girl-zilla but it still hadn't gotten him back together with Betty and Ron. On Friday,Archie headed out for Beans, the popular coffe house where Archie was a waiter. He had just finished clearing a table when a volleyball team came in. Their coach was going to treat them to celebratory hot chocolates beacuse they had won their latest game. Archie went over to them and took their order. After he was done he pointed the girl-zilla at the pretty redheaded girl who was staring at him. Suddenly, before he could read what it said, it slipped out of his hands and fell on to the shiny floor. He bent down to pick it up when some one with very high, high heels stepped on it and it went flying across the floor. Then to Archie's surprise, Betty and Veronica leading a pack of angry girls came in and ran towards him. Archie quickly scooped up the girl-zilla and tried to run into the kitchen but it was too late. The girl-zilla was pointed at all the girls and it began saying MAXIMUM DATA OVERLOAD MAXIMUM DATA OVERLOAD.... Then it exploded into a millon pieces. Archie stood in front of the girls, with his head covered in gray-smoke, holding the broken girl-zilla. The resturant was a huge mess and all Archie had left to do was confess. Archie spilled the whole story to Betty and Veronica, aplogized at least 100 times and begged for their forgivness. Finally when he was done talking, they kissed him on the cheek. The Archie said "Come on girls, lets go to Pop's".

"Sigh" Archie sat in Pop's, lost in thought. He had already used up the Summers Allowance his dad had given him in advance, and it was only the second week. "I have to figure out my problem. Sigh. "Whassup Arch? Hey, why so blue?" Jughead slid into the seat next to Archie, ordered his usual and looked up at him with interest. "What?" Archie questioned, annoyed. "Sigh. I asked you why you were so blue-Wait! Don"t tell me, girls."
"Wha- no I just was thinking of my money problem." Archie explained.
"If you've got too much money, I can always help!" Jughead looked at Archie with glee.
"Huh, I wish. Jug, I'm broke! On the second week of summer!"
"Oh. Well, I'm actually not that surprised, seeing as you took Ron out to that expensive place, then you took bets out to the show, then, well, you know." Jughead casually turned to the food, which had now arrived in front of him. Suddenly Archie stood up, nearly knocking his stool over. "That's it! Girls are my problem!"
"I always knew that." Jughead shrugged knowingly. Archie grabbed his coat and began running out of the door "Thanks Jug! I'm sure Dilt will know what to do!" And left Jughead stunned.

"So, I figure that's my problem" Archie stood in Dilton's Laboratory, awaiting a fabulous solution to the problem he had just explained. Dilton did not even look stunned, he seemed to have already been prepared for this problem. " Arch, I knew this would happen, it was just a matter of time until you realized it."
"It was"" "Yes." "Really"" "Yes. Now, I already have a machine that can solve your problem. The "Girl-Zilla"." Archie looked at Dilton as if he had just grown an extra eye. " The machine will detect negative energy directed at you from any female, so you will always be able to know when you need to get away from girls. Only one thing though-"
Dilton was cut off as Archie intently grabbed the "Girl-Zilla" and began making his way out. " Sorry Dilt, but Ronnie's waiting for me and with this thing I"ll be able to have a good time AND not get into trouble!" Dilton desperately tried to convince Archie to come back, because there was something important he didn't know about the "Girl-Zilla", but it was no use. Archie had already gone. "Well, I guess Archie will figure out that everything works backwards until you press a button. He'll see." Dilton shrugged, and returned to his Lab.

"Hey Ron!" Archie arrived at Veronica's house as soon as he could. " Hello Archiekins! I"ve got good news for you!" Suddenly the "Girl-Zilla" Began beeping. "Oh Ron, I need to be somewhere right now actually, Sorry. Bye!" Archie shouted over his shoulder as he ran down the lodge driveway and out the gates. " But Archie, I- Oh well, I guess those Reggie will have to accompany me on the trip to Rivera instead of Archie." And Veronica disappeared back into her house.

"Oh Archie, Glad you could stop by!" Betty sat down on the couch beside Archie. "I was just thinking of inviting you over to diner tonight and-" Again, the "Girl-Zilla started beeping. Archie quickly stood up and explained to Betty "Sorry, I gotta go somewhere, I totally forgot!" And before Betty could say a word, Archie was gone. " I guess he doesn't like my cooking as I thought he did." Betty sighed.

It went on like this for many days, and Archie kept refusing offers he would've dreamed for without knowing. So the girls went to Dilton to ask for help.
"Dilton, something's gotten into Archie. He keeps turning down our offers. He-"
"I know what it is. I really shouldn't have let Archie go with the "Girl-Zilla" before telling him." Dilton shook his head in regret.
"What-Zilla" What's going on here"" The girls looked at Dilton, expecting an answer that would explain everything.
"Just bring Archie to me."

"What's going on"" Archie asked, as Betty and Veronica escorted him into the Lab. "That's what we'd like to know" Nodded the girls in agreement.
"Well, you see Arch," Began Dilton "You left before I could tell you something very important about that. That thing works backwards until you press a button on it."
" So it was getting me away from my good fortune"" Archie slapped himself on the forehead. "I cannot believe that."
"Would someone care to tell us what"s going on"" questioned Betty and Veronica.
" Sorry, it was just that Archie was having problems managing his life with girls, so I whipped up a machine to help him, unfortunately, he seems to be beyond help." Dilton smiled sympathetically at Archie, who was still slapping his forehead.

You're So Moody!

"I'm serious, Dilt!!" Archie Andrews exclaimed, "I'm tired of getting in hot water with the girls over breaking a date or something like that! I need you to help me!"
"Hmmmm..." Dilton Doiley replied thoughtfuly, "I do have one thing that may help, but I'm warning you, I'm still making some changes... I wouldn't recommend using it just yet."
"I'm willing to take that chance!" Archie said, "ANYTHING to be able to walk down the street without somebody yelling at me, or giving me the cold shoulder!"
"Well... okay. Wait here while I get it from the lab." Dilton said as he walked away.
When he returned, Dilton was carrying a sleek navy blue and silver cell phone.
"Sorry Dilton," Archie said, "but I don't think this is going to help me."
"Ah! But that's where you're wrong!" Dilton answered, "it's only made to LOOK like a cell phone!"
"Then... what does it do?" Archie questioned.
"I call it the Girl-zilla, it's a mood detector that will ring any time it detects negative energy from a female directed at it's owner... which would be you!"
"Dilton, that's PERFECT!" Archie shouted as he snapped up the phone and put it in his pocket, "thanks a bunch!"

Later on that day, Archie spotted Veronica on his way to Pop's.
"Oh! There's Ronnie! Guess I'll go say hi..." Archie thought. Suddenly he stopped in his tracks and pulled out the mood detector. It was completely silent.
"Alright then!" Archie thought as he strolled over to Veronica.
"Hey Ronnie!" he greeted her, giving a small wave, "how would you like to hop down to Pop's with me to grab a soda?" Veronica's eyes narrowed into tiny slits.
"HOW DARE YOU!!!!" she screamed, "AFTER BLOWING OFF OUR DATE LAST NIGHT TO PLAY SOME STUPID VIDEO GAME, YOU THINK YOU CAN WIN ME BACK THAT EASILY??!!! WHAT KIND OF GIRL DO YOU THINK I AM???!!!" With that she stormed away. Baffled, Archie looked down at his silent mood detector.
"Hmmmm," he mused, "maybe it didn't work on Ronnie because that's her normal attitude...!" Satisfied with that explanation, Archie continued down the street. Just then, his mood detector began to ring. He glanced around.
"Oh Archiiieee!" Betty called, skipping over to him happily, "I've got a surprise for yooou!"
"Oh no!" Archie thought.
"Um... uh... sorry Betty I... uh... have to clean my room!"
"Oh, that's to bad," Betty said, "guess I'll just have to find somebody else to go to the basketball game with me!"
"You have tickets to the basketball game?!" Archie asked.
"Yep!" Betty replied, "floor seats too... it's a shame that you can't go, but I'm sure Reggie would love to! Bye!"
Archie stood with his mouth open as Betty walked away

"DILTON!" Archie called as he ran into the lab.
"What is it?!" Dilton asked, walking out of the expirement room in his white lab coat.
"This Girl-zilla is defective!" Archie exclaimed, slapping the mood detector onto the counter.
"Let me take a look," Dilton said, opening up the back of the device. "Oops!" he said, examining the circuitry.
"What?" Archie asked.
"The wires are crossed," Dilton admitted, " this mood detector only detects POSITIVE energy directed at it's owner!"
Archie slapped his forehead with the heel of his hand, next time he'd be a lot more careful taking Dilton's inventions for a test run!
