SONIC X #28
"Green Eyed Monster!": The world is embracing “green” energy to reduce cost and help the environment, and Sonic’s adopted city, Station Square, is no different. But some choose to use eco-friendly means toward eco-unfriendly ends! Namely the evil Dr. Eggman, who uses his new ‘bots powered by the sun, wind and water to devastate the city and leave Sonic and friends on the defensive! Now Eggman is free to pursue the biggest natural energies ever, the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald. With these power sources in hand, Eggman will be in control of more power than the world has ever seen. Will Sonic be literally powerless to stop Eggman this time?!

Not a bad job Tracy! Looks like somebody finally watched the first two seasons on DVD. This one definitely feels like a "action adventure" episode. Even includes the "X Tornado". Which hasn't been seen in the comic for awhile. This is the first issue of the book that I can recall that deals with the chaos emeralds coming together. Having the tree robots represent solar, wind, and water energy was a neat idea. Nice to see Knuckles actually defending the Master Emerald for a change, instead of it getting stolen while he's snoozing on the job.
Steven Butler did a good job as well. His models on Sonic and co. aren't always spot on, but he gives a lot of detail to the background, and really has a good grasp of 3-D space that helps with the action.
I'm going to have to give extra credit to colorist Josh Ray. He really did a fantastic job on the shading and it really helps bring the characters to life.
Overall 8/10 - Tracy's been doing a good job on his writing chops for a newbie. Now, let's have some fun, and have an issue written by Tracy, and drawn by Ian! Bizarro world Sonic!

Note to colorist: STOP coloring people in the background purple. It's so stupid. And why are the Chaos Emeralds all green? I could understand if you were mistakin in Sonic the Hedgehog, but this is SONIC X. There has NEVER been seven green Chaos Emeralds in Sonic X. Is it REALLY that hard to do your job right?

I think "somebody" is over-reacting a tad.
