SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #205
"On the Run Part One": Bunnie is back, but worse for wear with her wounds being tended in the hospital. Luckily, her friends are by her side... but not for long, as a less-than-lucid Eggman attacks in his Egg-Tortoise walker! Sonic and Tails spring into action, while Iron Queen and crew watch with wide eyes. Why are they so interested in seeing Eggman captured? It's the start of a new pulse-pounding tale guest-starring Nicole, Antoine, Monkey Khan, Espio and more!
PLUS: "Birthright Part One": Now it can be revealed: the long-held secret of the disappearance of Lien-Da's father!

wow, snooping as usual?
Epic.
Looks epic
Snoo-pingas usual?
Well played, Mr. Flynn.
Also, the art is gorgeous, as always.
wow i wonder who knocked out the iron king and that was a quick escape from eggman HA HA snively ! my bet is on regina.
Lemme guess... I'm the only person on the planet who thinks Steven Butler's art is horrible and wants Tracy Yardley doing BOTH comics. Also, who the heck is the robotic echidna Lien-da is talking to in Birthright? Oh and one last thing! Anyone know where I can get Sonic the Hedgehog #90-#100 because I heard somewhere that there are these yellow hedgehogs named Lightning and Aurora that live on some planet that's supposed to be a more beutiful version of Mobius and I wanted to see if that's true.
Snoo Pingas usual I see!
I love it. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that was funny. Do you suppose Mr Flynn is a fan of AoStH YTPs?
that robot echidna that lien-da was talking to was her brother
okay, are new to sonic or something? cause if you aren't, then something is seriously wrong w/ u
Hmmm... It seems Butler did a good job on this one. Unlike #202 and #204
This one seems to look a little more detailed and the characters don't look really funny or weird or cheap and sketchy.
hi i have over 1000000000000 comic books...well it looks like it and i read them all
I think Steven Butler is slacking, however, I do think he has a great deal of potential; Tracy seems to have his ups and downs, I have mixed feelings about his work.
The robotic echidna is Lien-da's brother I think. And the issues you're talking about would probably have been around the year 2000, which the backset for that isn't available yet so far as I know (if you find otherwise, be sure to post it). I'm not familiar with Lightning and Aurora, since I haven't read those issues yet.
oh god THANK YOU! Yardley is WAY better than Butler. Let's bring back the best, huh, Archie?
I've been reading these comics since I was 10, and now I'm 23. (Wow, that long?) Spaz has always been one of my favorite artists, ever since I picked up the issue where Sonic is roboticized and Knuckles does the same to himself in order to defeat him and save Knothole.
I really think this issue is going to be great as it delves into the notion that Ivo is actually a human being with feelings, dreams and goals. Making him insane also brings back that sense of unknown capabilities he had early on.
I hope I can get a chance to pick it up. Keep up the great work guys.
I'm fairly new. I read Sonic X #21-22 then I stopped and started back up at #30 and I started reading Sonic the Hedgehog at #187.
i wish steven butler could draw the same way he did back in sonic#148 now that's what i call artwork.
It'll be a matter of time before Robotnik's hapPINESS takes over, too.
Hey! Stop talking so much smack 'bout Steven Butler! I like Tracy's work, but it's not my fave. My favorite artist right now is Spaz, he does most of the covers (He's been doing them lately,if you haven't noticed!). Steven's work isn't all taht bad! I think it's acctually better than some. I'm 11 and I think I started to read the comic when i was about 7. #165 is the issue that got me so now I have 165-204! I also have extras like 161 and (my grandma gave me this one!) 61. I have Sonic x 9 and 20. I sadly don't have Sonic Universe! They don't sell it where I live! :(((
And by 'the best' I assume you refer to Spaz and his epic art (such as Mecha Madness, several pages of 'Endgame' or the SA2B teaser).
As for Butler, I recommend fans track down #61-75 and #130-149 to see him at his peak. Not to say there's anything wrong now (in fact, he's been quite the inspiration on a personal level), but the character expressions are similar to Yardley's style.
Besides, anyone why has worked on other mainstream comic books (like he did for a certain web-slinger) can't be all that bad. Besides, it's only been 4-5 issues since he started this new style, so don't be so eager to denounce him. Who knows? In time, you may begin to enjoy it.
The cover to this issue is WWAAAAYYY COOL.
now bought my friend(who also makes her own sonic char.) and let me read it. now who ever thought of this is hilraious. when i turned the page and saw that crazy ko-ko eggman punched sonic in the face i was rofl ( and for all you peps out there who don't know what that means, rolling on the floor laughing.) but i also got mad because sonic was trying to help him. i mean what the heck. really eggman get a brain!
Snoo-pingas usual i see?
LOL! never expected that
