Nooo more game import characters!!! they never stay as a main character or even hang around for that long. look at Shadow. he shows up every once an awhile to stir things up but pretty much is out of the spot light all the time. what the heck happened to Knuckles. his group has been neglected way to much. the floating island needs to be re-visited again and things explained better. I love this comic and i'v been around since King Gong and the Princess mini series. we need more old sonic story lines and character development going on! love ya Archie and sonic team!

It's really difficult to say the truth about this comic. Whereas all fingers are pointing to Silver, one has to ask why. I mean, haven't they spent the last 30 something comics trying to fix the continuity? The chaos emeralds are now reduced to seven, a good deal of other problems were removed by Enerjak, but now this? How in the world are they going to fit a character who has the primary purpose of traveling back in time to stop a human girl from crying in order to release a world destroying monster going to fit in with what's going on? Silver's mission could involve something with Scourge instead of Iblis, but come on, why not finish cleaning up the continuity before going Marvel/DC and throwing any and all thoughts about a single time line setting up to the events of the possible "Sonic, 25 years later."

And on a second note, game only characters from this generation should stay out of it. They've done the right thing keeping the Babylonian Rouges away, save for the mini-arc at the end of a comic, as well as effectively forgetting about unnecessary characters like the Down Under Freedom Fighters. Characters like Silver, Blaze, and Marine, while being distinct characters in the Sonic games, should be kept in those little 5 page mini-arcs promoting the games at the end of the comics. Including a character like Silver, as well as randomly bringing back Rob o' the Hedge, feels like they're attempting to force characters who've received the basic of popularity into the continuity.

All in all, this is just my opinion. I'm not coming on to say, "Your thoughts are wrong." Heck, for all I know, what the Sonic Team has in store for Silver in this comic arc could be gold and fit into the continuity like a puzzle piece. But until I actually pick it up and read it, I'm going to be among the people who are skeptical about Silver's appearance in the series.

I agree with Kirabetas.
It is indeed Silver joining the Sonic cast in the Archie comics but what will be his purpose?
If anyone actually played the games, he has nothing to do with the current story arc whatsoever.
It'll be interesting to see how he fits in with the story thus far but I agree that he should've only been in a game prologue like Blaze and Marine were.

I think Shadow needs more appearances though. He's a major character in Sonic Team, so where is he in the comics? Working for the humans and only appearing every once in a while as a flung-in character. I'd imagine the Black Doom story for Shadow may be in the works and someday we'll be able to see it.

As for M25YL, some events in the recent story arcs would change what was depicted in those stories. Honestly I think it was a mistake to post a future story because now you have to figure a way to manipulate all story ideas to fit to that future story. It doesn't work out well and it ruins the surprise.

Oh my goodness...

People need to get off their high-horses and realize that the comic storyline is not ever going to be exaclty the same as the sloppily put together game stories. Plus, the storylines in the comics are way better than what Sega can come up with, anyway. more characters=more versatility throughout the franchise. As a fan, I would like to see more of the "neglected" characters like Barby, Walt, Stu, and Duck. I loved those characters. They were original a whole lot better than "Chip the Dog" and "Sonic the Werehog."

I think Silver with a different purpose is going to reflect his personality alot more. No more, "I kill you, Iblis Trigger!" and then Sonic is about to be killed, but then someone just has to save him, and blah, blah, blah.

Kudos to you guys for putting Silver in the comics! Just don't screw him over like Sega did... XD

I definently agree with "Hayzerthetazer". The storyline is way better than any of the ones in the last couple Sonic games. That and Patch and Alicia are DEFINENTLY badass. Now if they put Silver and Blaze in the comics, I think they people would actually read the comics more, thinking that it's an adaptation of the last "Sonic The Hedgehog" game. I saw the opening cutscene for "Sonic: Unleashed", and the first words that came out of my mouth were:

"I'm gonna kill Silver.End of story. "

P.S. - I think the only reason they never put Sally in the games is cause all she wears is a vest; and sometimes she never wears anything (same with Bunnie)! At least Rouge covers up; GOOD CRAP!

This concludes my analogy of the Archie "Sonic The Hedgehog" comic series.

That HAS to be Silver! After making a HUGE parody of Sonic Next-Gen, I can recognize that hand anywhere! I can't wait to see what Archie Comics does with Silver! I made a stupid prediction thingy of this issue, and hopefully, some of the more serious aspects in the comic are accurate!

Finally more games characters to be brought in...

I dissagree with the ones who hate the new comic stories. I can't list how many characters Archie added!!!
I love the video game characters better than the Archie Characters. There were more characters made by Archie than the REAL THING. Sonic started out as a VIDEO GAME in June 1991 so that proves it's the real thing. The video game characters were very minor Ex. Amy Rose, Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat, Cream and Cheese. Where has Rouge been latley!? She's cool. I hated the old ones, where was Amy Rose? She was made the same year as the comic book and she appeared 3 years later! Amy was made way before Mina, and Amy should have been in the love triangle instead of Mina. I hated how she was called immature, Tails did almost the same thing as she did (running away from home and hated to be treated like a baby)ad he wasn't called immature. No one updated AMY! Since she was made the same year she should have been a freedom fighter then like Bunnie was. Shadow was barley in the comic to. Everyone likes Shadow! He does all the cool moves. The only comic that Cream and Cheese were in was Sonic X, and she is a minor character there. Cream was made a year before the actual show, and she never made it to the real comic as people were begging in the Sonic grams many years ago, but characters that were not from the video games did. Silver and Blaze should be in the comics. Silver is a pretty cool hedgehog and Blaze is one of the best! She's the only female that can turn into a super form! She's also wise. THE SEVEN CHAOS EMERALDS ARN'T ALL GREEN!!! They have other colors. Ugh...I remember the one where red chaos emeralds made an evil sonic (that was stupid). Marine seems pretty cool, and I'm glad she's going to be in the new comic. Ugh, I don't agree Sonic marrying Princess Sally. They arn't a great match. Sally's mean to him, like yelling at him, breaking his heart(I think Sonic 138), dissagreeing, etc. Sonic and Amy are great if you look closely. Amy dosen't do that like Sally. Tails with Mina??? (MOBIUS 25yrs later). I see on the web everyone thinks Tails and Cream are great toghether! A quick note: TAILS WASN'T BROWN, HE WAS ORANGE!!! Why did Sega let you do that to the poor fox!? Princess Sally, Bunnie, Mina, Uncle Chuck, Rotor, Antione,St. Geffory, and the other Archie Characters are not on my top list! You don't see Sally and Sonic together in the games and Mina chasing him! You see Amy chasing Sonic.That's my side of Sonic. I love the new comics and Ian Flynn makes a great script!

Metal sonic and the gang is hard to believe(though tails could reprogram him). Silver would be cool but hes a game charater.
