Today is Kwanzaa!
Kwanzaa consists of seven days of celebration, featuring activities such as candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and culminating in a feast and gift giving. It was created by Ron Karenga and was first celebrated from December 26, 1966, to January 1, 1967.
Merry Kwanzaa Everyone!

Boxing Day is a holiday in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, Greenland, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and countries in the Commonwealth of Nations with a mainly Christian population. In South Africa this public holiday is now known as the Day of Goodwill. The name derives from the Anglo-Saxon tradition of giving seasonal gifts to less wealthy people and social inferiors. Until their distribution, these gifts were stored in a "Christmas box," which was opened on December 26, when the contents were distributed. In the United Kingdom, this was later extended to various workpeople such as labourers and servants.

Today is Christmas Day!
It is a day that commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.

Today is Winter Solstice.
The shortest day of the year.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice occurs either December 21 or 22, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Capricorn.
Yule or Yule-tide is a winter festival that was initially celebrated by the Germanic peoples as a pagan religious festival, though it was later absorbed into, and equated with, the Christian festival of Christmas.
During Winter Solstice until New Years you may hear Christians wish one another warn Yuletide Greetings.
At the same time this day is called Shab-e Yald? (????) and is celebrated in Iran without being part of Christmas.
However you celebrate, it is the first day of winter!

Today starts Posadas Navideñas.
Posada is a Spanish word for "inn", and the Posadas Navideñas, which recall events leading up to the Nativity of Jesus, are a huge Christmas tradition in Mexico. A Posada begins with street a procession that re-enacts Mary and Joseph's search for an inn on their way to Bethlehem and is akin to a street-theatre musical.
Merry Posadas Navideñas to all are fans in Mexico!

All of us in Riverdale really dropped the ball for our Canadian fans.

We forgot to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving on October 12th.

All I can say is, it was Archie's fault!

And I wish to apologies for him.

Canadian Thanksgiving Day or Jour de L'Action de Grâce, occurring on the second Monday in October. Sorry, were late, but I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving too.
