My Dad is turning into a real stick-in-the-mud. Do you know what he said about my list? He looked at me over the top of his glasses and he said, “Son, even I haven’t done all these things yet.”
Duh, I know that. He works all the time. Then he said, “Have you thought about summer employment?”
“You mean… like a job?” I said.
"That’s exactly what I mean,” he said. “I want you to look for something meaningful and financially rewarding to do with your summer vacation.”
He said some other stuff after that, but I was so shocked I didn’t catch it. Bottom line: The Reg has to get a summer job, and I’m not too happy about it. This is really gonna put a crimp in MY summer plans!
I guess I’ll start looking through the want ads this afternoon. If you hear of any good job openings – preferably something executive or managerial in nature – lmk.
