As you know, without ME, the football team blew it big time Friday night - the first loss of the season! UGH!

But, you can’t keep a cool guy down. Saturday I was way too HOT to be that COOL. Every girl at the concert wished she could be my next date.

At first, I thought the doggy sweaters Ron made us all wear made ME look like a loser. But girls loved it. “Reggie, you look so cute! Oh Reggie, you’re a real dog lover.” On and on it went.

So, I’m going on record here: Mark this on your calendar. Remember it in your diary. Carve it in stone somewhere -

I was wrong!

That’s right, I said it. Not only was I wrong, I’m big enough to admit it. (Gosh, I even amaze myself sometimes.)

Ron was right. The sweaters were a great idea. Congrats, Veronica.

Of COURSE we won! I was playing! I heard through the grapevine that the Riverdale Gazette might run a feature article about Yours Truly in next week’s paper. Think I’ll stop by their office and drop off some publicity shots so they’ll have some decent pics of me for the article.

Hej! (that’s a Swedish greeting)

I am licklig (happy) to be picked to judge this vecka’s (week’s) contest. Folk in my yrke (profession) – industrial custodians – are not used to getting much uppmarksamhet (attention)… unless someone makes a mess and needs it putsad (cleaned up) fast! (chuckle)

I enjoyed all the sagens (stories) for That Was A Dream? which starred one of RHS’s best students, Betty Cooper. Betty is a custodian’s ideal student: she never makes smuts (messes) (unlike Dilton), she is ordentlig (tidy) and she always has a leende (smile.)

The sagen (story) I picked was written by Angel_is_my_Name. (We don’t have anyone with that name at Riverdale High.) It was well-written and made me skratt (laugh.) It also reminded me of a drom (dream) I had before school started last year. In it, I was RHS’s rector (principal), Mr. Weatherbee was the custodian, Ms. Grundy coached the football team and Coach Clayton taught French! Very odd. I haven’t eaten sardines since.

Anyway, tack (thank you) again for the honor of judging this kavlan (contest.)

No game this Friday, so football practice has been light. Coach Clayton doesn’t want anyone to get hurt mid-season.

You’d think that means I get some extra sleep, but nooooooo. Mr. Red-on-the Head has us practicing every night. I told him, “Arch, if you want me to practice this much, I want TWO solos at the Festival.”

He saw the wisdom of my requirement. I’ll have all the chicks eating out of my hand.

Hats off to Ronnie… The dark-green blazer she got is way hot on me.

I’ve been hearing rumors all week long about some big surprise Patty is cookin’ up. They say it’s about Halloween. Frankly, I’m rather shocked Patty hasn’t called me. After all, The Reg is THE KING of Halloween pranks. I’d have thought she’d call for my advice. I hear the big announcement is forthcoming.

Hey Patty: It’s not too late to call me. I have TONS of Halloween prank ideas you can borrow. You’re far too sweet to think this stuff up on your own. I’m here for ya!

Halloween Costume Contest

Here’s what you need to do to join in the fun:

• Get your costume together (for you and/or your pet)

• Take a picture. Yes, you can enter more than once!

• Email it in to the address below. Be sure to put the words “Costume Contest” in the subject line!

You can begin submitting your photos right now – BUT, I won’t put them online until Halloween. Then on Thursday, November 1, VOTING will commence.

Bloggy Buddies, their families, friends and visitors to our blogs will vote for their favorite photo. I’ll keep you updated on how the voting goes.

Or at least I Had a Blast!

The Fall Festival was way too much fun. Without Yours Truly it would have been a drag. What can I say? With The REG around, how could it not turn out great?!

Anyway, we started the concert with a HOOT! Make that a squeak. Betty’s Mom brought us a big bunch of “Good Luck” balloons filled with helium. Well, before the first song, I suggested we all breathe a little bit of helium. Needless to say, it was the funniest “Sugar Sugar” we ever did. We sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks – not The Archies.

After that opening number, we had the crowd eating out of our hands.

I know you’re the Blog Monitor and everything, but you’ve blocked my last five posts! Not even Ms. Grundy is this tough!

I guess YOUR idea of a harmless Halloween prank and MINE are entirely different.

But really, Miss Fairy Blogmother, almost everything I said was MILD compared to what Dilton pulls from time to time (except for that last one - I still think its way too funny that Moose lost all his hair!) So much for that.

Okay, I see there is no reasoning with you about this. So I’ll find some milder (translation: BORING) Halloween pranks to POST!!!!

I love Halloween. Everybody’s gone nuts here thinking good ol’ Riverdale High is haunted… everyone but ME. I say it’s the work of some prankster – and I’m gonna find out WHO it is!

I owe that person BIG TIME for putting FLOUR in my locker! I’m still shaking that stuff out of my books. Grrrr.

I will have THE BEST costume at Ronnie’s Party, and no one is going to find out what it is till Wednesday night. I’m not going to let some Johnny-Come-Lately swipe my idea.

I also found out that Dilton floured me and my locker. And get this - the little twit had the nerve to call me Pop and Fresh today!

He is mine… I’m not quite sure how but, mark my word, I will get him before Halloween is over… and I will get him good.

I’m thinking Ronnie’s party will be the place… That way, when I get him everyone will know I’m the undisputed KING of PRANKS.

Can’t wait to see Dilton there.
