DON'T MISS THE THRILLING CONCLUSION OF THE LATEST "NEW LOOK" SAGA THAT TRANSFORMS REGGIE FROM WISE GUY TO ROMEO!
"A Funny Kind of Love Part Four": Beautiful and bright Bernadette Brownlee has had a rocky romance with Riverdale's resident wise guy, Reggie! Bernadette has seen another side of Reggie - as a charismatic, convincing orator. She would much prefer Reggie to pursue a spot on the debating team instead of fame, glory and laughs at the national stand-up comic search. But Reggie is committed to comedy, and this leads to a highly volatile breakup between the two! But Archie isn't convinced that Bernadette and Reggie are really through with one another, and he's determined to reach at least one of them. Will Archie's influence bring the pair back together, or will Reggie have the last laugh? Is Reggie's future with Bernadette truly open for debate? There's only one way to find out: reserve your copy of this thrilling conclusion to the most unexpected "New Look" yet! Rendered in the "realistic" art style that made Betty and Veronica's "Bad Boy Trouble" and "My Father's Betrayal," Jughead's "The Matchmakers," Moose and Midge's "Breakup Blues," and Archie and his friends' "Goodbye Forever" some of the most talked about Archie stories in recent years!
"A Funny Kind of Love Part Three": The gorgeous new girl in town has Reggie's eye... but for how long? Bernadette Brownlee is beautiful and bright, and finds Reggie amusing despite her dislike of comedians. She promises to go to Reggie's performance as he competes in a major stand-up comic search... if he promises to try out for the debate team in return! No one is surprised at how Reggie's comedy act goes over... but are they prepared for seriously effective debating from the master prankster?
GET SET FOR THE LATEST "NEW LOOK" SAGA AS LOVE TRANSFORMS REGGIE FROM WISE GUY TO ROMEO!
"A Funny Kind of Love Part One": Just who could make Riverdale's resident prankster lighten up on the practical jokes? Just one person, and her name's Bernadette Brownlee - the new girl in school. Bernadette goes toe-to-toe with Reggie, providing clever come-backs to would-be comic Reggie's corny jokes. Trouble is, this beauty also has brains, and has already become fast friends with fellow science club member Dilton! And she seems to get along nicely with Archie as well. This has all the makings of a romantic ruckus, but Reggie is determined to be the last Romeo standing! Can Reggie be a sensitive boyfriend type and pursue his dreams of comedy stardom at the same time? It's the most unexpected "New Look" story yet, rendered in the "realistic" art style that made Betty and Veronica's "Bad Boy Trouble" and "My Father's Betrayal," Jughead's "Match Makers," Moose and Midge's "Break-up Blues," and Archie and his friend's "Goodbye Forever" some of the most-talked about Archie stories in recent years!

PALS 'N' GALS DOUBLE DIGEST #133

PALS 'N' GALS DOUBLE DIGEST #133
First, Archie reprinted PEP COMICS #22 and ARCHIE COMICS #1 to celebrate Archie's 65th anniversary in ARCHIE DIGEST #236. Then, Jughead got the same treatment in JUGHEAD'S DOUBLE DIGEST #138. That was followed by BETTY & VERONICA DIGEST #185, a special issue commemorating the anniversary of ARCHIE'S GIRLS BETTY & VERONICA #1 from 1950. Now, one of Archie's most (in)famous characters, Reggie Mantle is celebrated in this special edition of ARCHIE'S PESTS... er... ARCHIE'S PALS 'N GALS DIGEST! Archie Comics is pleased to present this vintage material once more, including one of Reggie's earliest appearances in JACKPOT #5 as well as the entire first issue of ARCHIE'S RIVAL REGGIE in its entirety.
SCRIPT AND ART: Various talents.
"Reggie Meets Reggie": In addition to the classic tales, Reggie gets the same opportunity Archie, Jughead and Betty and Veronica received in the aforementioned issues: the opportunity for his present self to meet his past self! And since there's no one Reggie loves more than himself, we can't think of anyone he'd rather meet! It's all courtesy of a trip down "memory lane," that magical road that leads to all sorts of space-time continuum chaos! Will modern Reggie's jokes and pranks be "new" in the 1950s? Will he even have time to crack wise when he angers the '50s Moose? It's a Reggie story for the ages... literally!

REAL-LIFE BOWLING CHAMPIONS CHRIS AND LYNDA BARNES "BOWL OVER" READERS IN PALS 'N GALS DOUBLE DIGEST #131!

REAL-LIFE BOWLING CHAMPIONS CHRIS AND LYNDA BARNES "BOWL OVER" READERS IN PALS 'N GALS DOUBLE DIGEST #131!

Over the years, Archie Comics has presented many "real people" in its pages. Sometimes they appeared in parody form, with satirical versions of their names and likenesses used. Other times, the actual people lent their names and likenesses. A wide-range of "real" folks, from school librarians to comic shop owners to famous celebrities like Don Kirschner, Glenn Scarpelli and The Veronicas have appeared in Archie Comics-form.

The trend of having real people appear in Archie comics continues this issue. Real-life husband-and-wife team Chris and Lynda Barnes are noted for winning the most prestigious titles in bowling: Chris is the PBA player of the year and Lynda the 2008 USBC Queens champion. Now, bowling's reigning championship couple thrills Archie Comics readers in the story "7-10 Slip" from PALS 'N GALS DOUBLE DIGEST #131.

It all starts when Pop Tate breaks his arm in a fall. Naturally, the kids want to help, so they rally together to raise money for his medical bills. While their individual efforts to use their talents to raise funds are noble, the gang soon realizes they need some extra-special help. They call in Chris and Lynda Barnes for a special charity bowling event that attracts the attention of the whole town. With Chris and Lynda on board, it's the most "striking" Archie story yet!
