Wow! Busy BBs!

Thanks for metioning me in your blog, Betty!!!! You've made me so happy just now! I think I may have said this before but the "Amulet Heart" part of my name is from an anime/ manga called Shugo Chara. Its really cute. I like reading authentic manga (manga thats still read right-to-left) and anime that isn't dubbed (that means an English version of the original anime).
I have lots of friends but I'm this odd ball who likes reading and writing and reading people's blogs and is in love with anime and manga. LoL.

Hi Tory. I haven't been here that long either. I hope we can be great bloggy buddies!!

I love anime and manga, I like shoujo (girl-oriented, romance, humor, etc.) mostly. But some shounen (boy, more action, adventure, etc.) are pretty good.

As Tory said, original language anime is generally more accepted by fans. Because of things like awkward translations (one such example was instead of saying "he was wounded" it said "ee got a hurt.") and expressions that make little sense when translated mostly. So people generally find the series they want online with subtitles, but watching them for too long makes English shows sound weird.

Isn't Jug into this stuff? Why don't you ask him about some of it, I'm sure he knows a lot about it. ^_^

I am a huge anime fan as well! I LOVE a certain one called Cardcaptor Sakura, by famous manga artist Clamp. Also a good gift for your dad if you don't know what to get him is a funny tie with cartoon characters on it!

Geegee, I like a lot of manga and anime from Clamp too! Have you ever heard of Wish? Its also by Clamp and its really good.

KT, I agree that some translations are weird so thats what I like doing too, is looking them up and then watching them online. And once I was watching an episode of Tokyo Mew Mew and I was so used to hearing the Japanese that when an English person started talking I didn't understand it xD I also really like shojo manga and anime. And I'm also really into some shonen as well!

By the way, I'm not offended by anyone who dislikes manga and anime. I understand, but I love it!! I am actually an unpublished mangaka (a mangaka is a manga artist/writer).

I like some manga books, but i'm more into actual books. I really love the popular series Twilight. I stayed up untill 12:30 to finish one of them. I guess a lot of other people in my town like them too because there are ten copies at my library, and i was fifth on the waiting list. The rest of u should check this series out!

I guess anime is okay. My best friend in the WHOLE world is in LOVE with Naruto and Bleach and she has tones of Naruto mangas, i have read a few of hers but they dont really strike my fancy and i really dont like watching anime!!! and that is so cool that Tory *HI!!* got mentioned by Betty!!! Congrats to that!!!!

Michelle I love all of the anime on that list you put there and WAY more! I also like the manga for those as well.

I have an account on a book club website where I review manga, and I'm a top reviewer there. I've read so many books ('specially manga) and I usually try to stick to writing three reviews a day, once I wrote about TWENTY. My fingers were soar and yelling "STOP WRITING THATS ENOUGH ALREADY!" and my brain was like sending me this message "NO DON'T STOP YOU'RE ON A ROLE NOW!" LoL sorry for sounding weird, its just the way I am. Weird and random are what I do (heh).

I'm so happy that Betty mentioned me in her blog (YAY FOR BEING MENTIONED). I'm writing way too long of comments but oh well its fun and I'm really enjoying myself :)

I'm a huge fan of almost all manga, and I've read a bunch of series by Clamp and Tokyopop. Shoujo is pretty good too. I love how manga is always so detailed and intense, that's what makes it so awesome. I think that One Piece is the BEST action manga! It rocks!

Hi. Yeah I know Japanese. Once I started getting really interested in anime and manga I just had to lean it. I'm just above an intermidiate level so I'm still learning, but I know most of the basics, enough so I don't need to use subtitles when watching an anime thats still in Japanese. So you mean more common manga? Well Tokyo Mew Mew is a really common story. Sailor Moon is quite similar to that one but also quite old, I watched it when I was little. Naruto is a bit more action and comedy about the world of ninjas, and some people really think its stupid but I love it. InuYasha is one of my FAVORITES, although if a person has a problem with a the supernatural they likely wouldn't like it. I have this HUGE drawing book full of pictures I've drawn of InuYasha. :P If he was real I would have a crush on him! xD Beauty Pop is my all time favorite manga but its not fantasy if thats what you like, its more a fiction-comedy that I laugh out loud to at every volume. Kingdom Hearts is also a great manga, also a video game. Its kind of a cross of Final Fantasy and Disney put together. One Piece is a great action anime/ manga, but its not something I really like very much. The novel Avalon High is great and the sequel to it is a manga, but it has too much thinking and not enough action. Aishiteruze Baby is very kawii, but not so common. Air Gear is a sports manga thats really good but as a warning there is A LOT of fanservice in it...which can be a real turn off for some people.
WELL that was quite the list... Sorry for going on and on like that! I just like talking! :P I'm so glad I'm not the only person who reads Archie comics that also likes manga!

Ah Taylor I just noticed that you aren't into Naruto. Thats fine, some people just don't like it. I like it because its anime and manga, but if it weren't I probably would never have started watching/ reading it in the first place.

I like Naruto in a way but it confuses me!!! And thank you for that long list!!!! YoU RoCk!! My friend LOVES naruto so that is where i know most of my naruto facts cuz she goes on and on and on and on about it!!! Do you like Disney Channel? and did you see Camp Rock!?!?

Some anime can be really good (and others not)! My favourites are Ranma 1/2 (manga too) and DBZ (so sue me!) I also like Bleach, Trigun, Gungrave, Inuyasha, and Azumanga Daioh (manga too). Oh, and I'm sort of watching Wolf's Rain right now. I'm being careful around it, because the ending is a tearjerker, and I like comedies! Still, if you think about it real hard, it has a semi-happy ending, seeing as the wolves are reborn in the end (without half-wolves and humans).

I don't like Naruto or Neon Genesis Evengelion.

I remember I was about to leave on a road trip and I stopped at a gas station and bought my first archie comic. I have over 100 now, and still collect them, among many other comics. I enjoy DC's Teen Titans. I've read at least 20 archie comics since I went on vacation, I never get sick of em'!
