Hi bbs! We are back in Riverdale, back in school, and back to doing homework. :o( I’ve discovered that’s Rule #1 in my Book of Inevitable Rules for Life. There will ALWAYS be homework. More about that in a minute.
So, did anything exciting happen while we were gone? Well, let’s see. Midge dyed her hair. It was an experiment. She tried to go blonde, but ended up grass green, so she spent 2 days at the Riverdale salon. The color specialists there did a great job restoring her “before” color – but she still has a greenish glow if the light catches her just right.
Mr. Bee started a new fitness regimen. This morning he started walking to school. Ms. Grundy got worried when he still wasn’t here at 9:30, so she sent Jughead and Moose out to look for him. He’d only gone about a mile and was sitting by the side of the road. He insisted on walking though, so they gave him a bottle of water and drove back to school. Ms. Grundy sent a student out every half hour to check on him and keep him company. He finally arrived at Riverdale High about a half hour after lunch. I don’t think he’ll be walking to school any more. LOL
So, back to my book. This is the kick-off of our annual literary project. This year, Ms. Grundy has given us a fun assignment: Each student is to write a book. It doesn’t have to be a long book. It can be fiction or non-fiction. It can be funny or not. The goal of our project is to write a book for kids – ages 8-12, so it should be something they would like to read.
I decided to write a book called Betty’s Book of Inevitable Rules for Life. It’s non-fiction. (I like writing so much, I might write a fiction title, too!) In it, I am listing stuff – important stuff – kids should know before they become teenagers.
Rule #1 is: There will ALWAYS be homework.
Rule #2 is: Boys are weird. Get used to it.
Rule #3 is: Its okay, boys don’t get us either – even if they say they do.
If you have a rule you would like to suggest, send it to me! I might just include it to my book.
Happy Tuesday!
Xoxoxoxox
Betty

O my gosh! The one with the name "black cat", I m sorry! I cant beleive your sister is moving out! Im not betty, just a 10 yeer old. But you should be happy you have a sister and that you loved her so much. but you should say your sorry and that you would do anything for her not to move out. and if that doesnt work,im sorry! i dont do the best advise, but im still sorry if you follow it and it doesnt work! Well, rule number something: Never yell at anything, just be nice ALWAYS even if you dont want to. It will help you in your future life and people will allways love you and you wont get into that much fights. thankyou for reading this long comment and By!(im still sorry blackcat) Brittany

HERE'S A RULE:
GIRLS ARE VERY GOOD AT GETTING BOYS TO DO WHAT THEY WANT THEM TO DO WHILE MAKING BOYS THINK IT WAS THEIR OWN IDEA IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Blackcat,
Its not your fault that her treasure got stolen is it? If its not, then its not your fault. Talk to your sis and mom. Tell them that the fight doesn't have to end this way, and that you guys can resolve the issue some other way.

That's a wonderful idea Betty! Sounds real juicy! :D
Hmmm tips....
How about
1) when you need help, ask cause chances are, the other students don't know either but too afraid or shy to ask for help themselves.
2) Communication is a very important key.
3) Learning to say "no" is not bad. For example, if your friend asks for your help on something, it's fine to say no or "later" if you don't feel up to it. You have to take care of your health first. If he or she is truly a good friend, he or she will understand you.
4) it's important to keep in mind that there are other people have their own formation, they have been raised differently than you and we all have to respect that. We all have to respect each other.
5) It's good to compliment others on a job well done or for something good they have done. It helps them feel good, or show them they did something right. It makes their day and it's nice to hear from others or from family at least every day or so. :)
That's all the tips I can think of right now. :D

Oh man :( So sorry. **hugs**
Have you talked to your sister again and apologized? After reading your post, I don't know exactly what happened but I can only guess you must have done something that upset your mom and sister? Is that what you meant?
Have you tried talking to your mom and sister? Maybe you can talk it over and see if there's a solution to the problems.
Good luck Blackcat :/ I hope all goes well for you and your family.

Hey Bets
Here are some suggestion:
1. Always respect others and they'll respect you.
2. Always hand in your work on time ( you might get in trouble if you don't).
3. Don't let bad influence or behavior get you down. Always :>)
That's it for now. If I come up with any other suggestions, I'll definitely send them in. Good Luck with your book!

hey PHEM!
when u were younger were u a bratz, baby doll, barbie, or my scene girl. i was barbie and baby doll girl. i had....i can't count how many baby dolls i had and i think i had even more barbies. and i had well over 100 (maybe 200) barbie clothes. and i had about 50 baby doll clothes. i never play with them any more but i like to design clothes with fabrics that i cut up and pin together and make really beautiful outfits for barbies. my favourite thing to design is wedding dresses. i love to wrap all those gorgeous white fabrics around em' and put ruffles on the dresses and add blossems and dainty beads and diamonties. i wish i could show u some of em'!some of them are so beautiful.

As far as the rules are concerned how about some of these?
1 - You always need a friend one way or the other.
2 - Smile! It will make you look prettier.
3 - Life is easier if you dont stress about little things.
4 - Dont believe rumors you hear, unless you know they are true for sure.
Well these are some i can think of now. I will post more if i get the chance!! :D
Best of luck with the book!!

You will always always ALWAYS think someone is better than you. You just have to learn to live with it.
Also: There will always be at least one of each of these teachers:
*A pushover
*An easygoing one who will snap if the class is too difficult--you have been warned!
*A fun-loving but firm one--this is everyone's favorite teacher, as they can usually make even the most boring subject exciting
*A strict, mean and seemingly unfair one--these can make even the most exciting subject boring
(I have all four of these teachers right now.)

heres a rule.......
when a boy breaks up with you or just dsuddenly starts ignoring you when you had been freinds before hand, don't get angry at him and start doing mean things back. if you do that he will have most likely gotten the respnse he wanted. just avoid eye contact with him and if he stares at you trying to get your atention, what ever you do DON'T SMILE BACK! then he will relise that you don't really care what he does and think of him more as an idiod in stead. try this next time. it really works.

1- Don't give into peer presure
2- Do your best at school, there is nothing worst then having to stay an extra year.
3- What you do to your body then will affect you later in life. ( tattoos, smoking, bad diet)

here's some more rules:
(1) if your upset about something, feel free to cry. if you don't cry you'll just keep on having all these pressing feelings in you and can get bad headaches because your eyes will just have tears pressing against them.
(2) never EVER let boys see you angry at them because of something the wanted you to get angry at. because thats exactly what they wanted you to do and so your just giving them what they want and thats not good because your not suopposed to be pleasing them.
(3) when your angry at your parents, go along with everything they want and don't complane about it at all and act like it's more a joy for you to abey them because not only will they start seeing they have nothing more to tell you what to do.....but also it makes you feel heaps better.

Lilli
Hi there. :) Here's some ideas that hopefully can help you overcome writer's block. If you wanna try it. :)
1) Watch movies like "Read it and weep" or any show that can inspire you to write.
2) Read books you enjoy. When I took a course in Freelance writing, one of the things the textbook said was to read books. I guess it helps. Even if you love comics, read comics. After all, it's reading too. :)
3) Have a notebook and pen or something to write on near your bed or desk for when an inspiration or idea strikes you, write it down. And when it does, why not think about it further? Like how did that idea get to that point? And why? Ask questions and just maybe you'll see you got something. :)
4) What about a memory you have? Or a conversation you overheard the other day? Here's an example: Say your cousin came over to drop off a book your brother left. You were in the other room but you accidentally heard your cousin tell your mom "I need a tutor" and he sounds really unhappy when he said that. Now that's an idea for a story! Why not make a story about a character who is not doing well in school because of a reason. Say a bully. Or he has a problem like Dyslexia.
Hope that helps. :) Good luck and write away. Use your imagination and enjoy. :D
***hugs**
