Today's post is brought to you by Midge (applause) Midge has a special Valentine's Day question that she would like YOUR help with. Take it away, Midge! - Xoxo, Bets My question today is NOT about boyfriends (but if you have a suggestion for "the big guy" I'm all ears.) This is about teachers. Every year, the student body at RHS gets all the teachers a little something for Valentine's Day. We usually get them candy or some cookies; it doesn't have to be big - just heart felt. This year I'm having trouble coming up with an idea. The Bee is on a diet again, and Professor Flutesnoot got a membership to the Cookie-of-the-Month club for Christmas. So, if you have any suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them! Thanks! Midge

Why don't you get all the students to put on a play for all the students

Hi Midge! What about sugar-free chocolates? I've tried them before and they're DELICIOUS!! It doesn't even taste like they took the sugar out. I'm suggesting this because, Professor Flutesnoot got a Cookie-of-the-Month club membership for Christmas. So you wouldn't want to get cookies. So why not just get chocolate you ask? Because Mr. Weatherbee is on a diet. So why not sugar-free chocolates? They taste like regular chocolates, but they're sugar-free! Also, if you look on the nutrition facts, dark chocolate has less sugar than milk chocolate. (I know all this stuff because my dad has diabetes.) He's fine, though. :-) Hope you take my advice, Midge! Good luck!

Maybe you could all chip in and rent them some rooms at a fancy hotel with a swimming pool and spa:D Maybe just some cards handmade in art class, whatever it is i'M SURE you will do fine. Good Luck!
Oh, and about Moose, you might get him one of those singing cards on the market, or make a large valentine and a gift certificate for ten free kisses. I don't know,
Good Luck,

I hope you get a blog for you soon, Midge! My suggestion: a card, to tell them how much you appreciate them, and little 'teacher' things like a notepad, a notebook, a cool pen, an eraser, ect, you know, little things like that, and then you give it to them in a basket. They'll love it!

Midge, have you thought about ummmm....getting them each a card? no that's to boring. How about...decarating their rooms when they're not there. Like hearts. Streamers. Ballons. And then put little valentine card on each teachers desk. Yeah that sounds more fun! I hope this was o.k.
Katy & Hilda, talk to me people....not feeling the love....

Hiya Midge!! we usually do the same thing last year we gave them flowers and balloons with some small lacta chocolates attached. This year we're giving them small potted plants because we're graduating and we want something that will remind them of us for a very long time. Maybe you can do the same.
We also have a tradition that we do every valentines day and that's song dedications sang by our very own students. It's a lot of fun watching the teachers blush and sometimes they get choked up and cry.
Anyways, good luck and I hope I helped.

I honestly think that a hand-made card telling them why they're such great teachers and why you love them would be touching. They would all love it! Its not that original, so if you want a more original idea...
Your whole class could give them coupons, but not to real stores--for YOUR services! For example, it would cost 2 coupons for a pancake breakfast, delivered right to their doors. And 5 coupons for hot tea/coffee every day of the chosen week. You could even give them "quiet" coupons where your class must be quiet the whole class while they teach or just give you work to do. (The quiet coupons would be good if they're having a bad or stressful day.)There are so many more things you could give them through coupons!
I hope you like these ideas!

You should maybe for Mr.wetherbee make for example a platewith fruits in the shape of a heart or something like that and you could do the same for prof.Flutesnoot(all those cookies can't be healthy;-) Good luck!!

I think that you should get all the students together and do something nice for the teachers. Maybe you could clean all the classrooms (it sounds boring but the teachers love it!) or paint them. A change of scenery might be nice!

Fiesta Chicka,
Not feeling the love? lol! How are you doing?
Midge,
Okay, I know this sounds dumb but it's true. Last time I gave a valentines card to a teacher was in elementary when the whole class had to give others and the teacher a Valentines card. I didn't know you could do that in jr. high and high school too.
Midge, how about a card and some granola bars for the teachers? For Moose, how about some kind of meal he would like or candy and treat him to a movie???
That would be cool if you could have a blog too like Betty and Veronica. :)

Why don't you get the Bee a book on dieting? It'll help him a lot! And, maybe you could help bake some cookies for Mr Flutesnoot! And a handmade card would really be nice, just like cac said!

Dear Midge,
I know how you feel. My class does the same thing every valentines day too! Plus, this year our homeroom teacher's birthday is coming up too so we really are blank with the money part so we all decided for the teachers birthday we are all getting refreshments and decorations and decorating the class and she will love it!! I know Weatherbee and everyone else will too! And for valentines day we are all making something from the heart or maybe the class will all chip in and you guys could get her a frame with a pic of you guys in it or something?? Hope this helped

1. Flowers for the girls (pink, white, red)
2. Valentines day cards
3. One of those Valentines day bears
4. A good piece of school work (lol)
5. A Valentines day craft
i wonder what moose is going to get you for VD. What are you getting 4 the big guy? He'd enjoy a pink, white and red foot-ball. (he is a foot-ball freak)
