Christmas May Be Over…

But it’s not too late to bake yummy treats! Jughead informed me that this is National Shortbread Day, so I thought it would be a great time to share this recipe with you. Thanks to Linda at Allrecipes for this one!

Scottish Shortbread

Ingredients

· 2 cups butter

· 1 cup packed brown sugar

· 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add 3 to 3 3/4 cups flour. Mix well.

Sprinkle board with the remaining flour. Knead for 5 minutes, adding enough flour to make a soft dough. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 3x1 inch strips. Prick with fork and place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.

LMK if you try it!

Hey, I'm back. Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. I think. It feels that way to me, lol.

Betty, do you have a recipe that you can share with us on how to bake a banana cake from scratch? My dad made a moist cake the other day (I think from a box) and he told me he wished he could make a banana cake like his dad used to make from scratch. :( So if you have the time and if you like, can you share with us a banana cake recipe?

Many Hugs to you and my fellow bloggy buddies. :D

By the way, I love your new banner. Even if it's the same picture ( I love it) I love the new color and designs. :D I saw it a few days ago, so sorry for the late compliment. I love the way you change something about your blog once in a while. It is very refreshing and fun.

I also have a request if it's okay. I was hoping if you could have that feature again where you could see who posted and in what entry recently on the side of the blog. Like it used to be. That way, we can see who and what was posted recently. :D If not, no problem. :)

Hilda:

Charlese S,

Hi Charlese. Did you mean that no one announced the results for the stories from the last 3 story starters?

It does take long because they have to read all the stories, and boy, it's a lot of stories to read, lol.

I haven't visited the "Story Starter" page yet tonight so I'm on my way in a bit to check it out too. Later, bloggy buddy! :D

Charlese S:

Hilda,I don't mean they haven't announced the winner,it is just that they haven't say the judgje or even say a word about it.

Jasmine:
