Thats great that you care about your dad so much that you are buying him a present! :) But I think money doesn't have to be the object here. If you want a good present just tell your dad you won't be clumsy (don't worry I am to) or spend a whole day with him OR this one is a good idea, you should make a birdhouse or even work on a project! He would love that, trust me!

Dad insisted that he didn't need anything, he wanted to spend the day with my stepmom.

Nonetheless, I'm going to take him out to a concert, it's not until October though, I hope I can get tickets.

I did go to a movie with him the day before though, covered extra ticket expenses.
