Hi gang.
I don’t know what it is with women and flowers, but have you noticed how moms go crazy every spring when the greenhouses open? I’m serious. My mom got a bad case of Gardening Fever last week and went on a shopping spree.
Now, I am not a gardener. I don’t mind cutting the grass, because we have this awesome riding mower that my dad turned into more of a race car than a yard tool. But my favorite flowers are fake; they never need to be watered. So, I helped my mom plant flowers yesterday.
She usually decorates the yard all by herself, but this year – for some unknown reason – she bought, like 6 more flats of plants than she ever bought before. Each flat holds 36 plants. You do the math. I don’t know what got into her, but after she’d spent about 4 hours outside getting sunburned and digging in the dirt, I decided she could use a little help.
Jug drove by and saw us, so be stopped and helped too. After all that flower planting, Jug and I were starved, so we headed over to Pop’s. I told Jug that he might have to plow a trail to my front door later this summer when all my mom’s plants grow up and take over the yard.
He said his mom bought a bunch of flowers too, so it looks like Riverdale’s been hit with an epidemic of Gardening Fever. Does anyone at your house have it?

My mom gardens, but my gran's garden is HUGE! Takes up her WHOLE backyard and most of her front yard.
My mom is an odd gardner though, she plants things she knows she's allergic to...Moms are pretty weird about that. I mean I love flowers, but not the bees.
My house doesn't have a garden anymore, it is used for my brother's motorbikes washing business now. I loved my garden, it was small tho, we don't have big gardens or hardly gardens in city, so i wish we had one i don't mind being all sweaty doing stuff in the garden. And Maureen you're so right i love flowers and my fav is chrysanthemums or daisies. I want a bunch of them in my garden, especially white.
I love flowers! Everything about them especially daisies! I have to agree though, gardening is not my favorite but on a hot day its fun to play with the hose! (if you know what I mean)
EDIT: I spelled Llamas wrong. Sorry.
Yes, my family has certainly caught the garden fever as you put it. Which might be a little strange to add, bu we live in Arizona. A desert region! but, surprisingly, our backyard is immaculately gren. Sunflowers, roses, tomato plants, and squashes...it's a really theraputic hoby. Gardening. Often it helps to just be out there alone with nature, then one can truly relax. You should try it sometime. ;)
POST SOMETHING NEW ALREDY!
My mum is obsessed with gardening. More than half her day is sent watering, planting, watering what she's just planted... you get the point.
I REALLY want to plant some flowers, we havn't done any yet! I love flowers but i'm not crazy over them and get a bunch but i like a few in the yard!
Halow there gang! Archie your soo hot.
No.... But... at least the environment eill improve!:)
Actually, I don't know about gardening, but our whole school has been hit with a paper airplane epidemic! Everyone's making 'em.
What do you have against flowers? Flowers are beautiful and they bloom in the spring. They make everyone happy and cheery. Gardening is fun! You got a problem with that? My home does have flowers.
YEAH,MY MOM HAS GARDENING FEVER TOO!
We live in an apartment.
