Today Ms. Grundy gave us an extra credit assignment (which means you don’t have to do it, but it would be a smart thing if you did in case you mess up on a test later.)
We are supposed to write a 10,000 word paper on one of the following subjects:
Organic foods
Recycling
Alternative energy
Whales
Ms. Grundy loves whales, so I think I’ll write about them. Problem: I only know enough about whales to use about 50 words. So, if you know where I can find some obscure whale facts, lmk.
Your Pal
Arch
P.S. I heard Reggie say he’s writing a paper about ALL of these; he needs all the extra credit he can get right now!
I know a lot about whales.here are some facts:
-a whale eats krill and snall fish
-some whales have teeth, others have baleen
-most countrys hunt whales, it is called whaling
-some dolpins are called whales e.g. killer whale, pilot whale
-whales are in a group called cetaceans which include dolphins and porpoises

maybe on valentine's day you could make a deal with ethel. you could hang out with her (no kissing, just hanging out as friends!)sometimes if she doesn't sing to you.
i'm giving you my name for your petition, jug!
look up whales on wikapeda and coppy and paste, but change a few words to make it seem original

Well, Archie, I don't know any facts about whales at the top of my head. Well, if you count a little squirty hole at the top of its head! The best thing to do is researach the internet. Wikipedia would be good, or go on google and search "whales" you'll be surprised on how many websites talk about whales! Maybe they'll have a few essays you could get ideas from. You can also go to your library and look in the search computer "whales." It will have a lot of books. But, I think the internent is better, because facts are more up to date.
Just trying to help,
xoSarahh.
sorry arch
If I had to write that long of a paper for my teacher I would do it on Whales. Not because they are my favorite animal or anything, just because it sounds the most interesting.
Luv,
Sabrina
PS. Yes that is my real name!
I hope you can find more words, sorry i don't know that much about whales.
ARCHIE CHECK OUT THESE SITES-GOOGLE,LIVE OR ASK.YOU'LL GET LOTS OF INFORMATION AND PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS STORY ABOUT WHALES-'A THOUSAND PAILS OF WATER'.IT'S A GREAT!!!LET ME KNOW IF YOU LIKE IT.
Like Katie said Wikipedia is an awesome source for info. You could also try Riverdale Library and see what they have on them. Once you get started, there is a lot of ground to cover. Orcas, Blues, and more! Like Heather said, Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island is a wonderful source of info, because the story is centered on an orca whale, and there is also a whale watching place you can go to that shows you lots of info about all kinds of whales, including the different noises they make.
PS Katy I can't download the Archies onto my computer, but "Sugar, Sugar, you are my candy girl" sounds like the perfect song for me! I'm diabetic so I always have candy around for lows. People always try to "borrow" my candy.
10,000 WORDS? THAT LIKE...40 pages!!!! (i googled it lol) whoooaaa!! that's like a BOOK!!!
Hi Arch, I think you should research Whales on your laptop. When I was dong a project on whales that helped ALOT!!! If you need more info try a encyclopedia!
