Boy did Ronnie surprise me after school yesterday. I saw her walking ahead of me in the hall – Mr. Bee let us out early because it was snowing. So I hurried to catch up with her. I was going to see if she wanted a ride home.
All I got to say was her name. "Ronnie?"
She turned with that look only she can give and said, "Archie Andrews, Betty and I had a talk about YOU the other day."
"You did?" I said, braced for the worst. When Ron and Betty talk about me it usually turns out bad.
"Yes," she said. "You can forget about asking me out for Valentines Day, this year. And please do not attempt to get me a gift - and I use the word attempt because that’s as close as you ever get to a real Valentine’s gift!"
Before I could think of a reply, she turned and walked right out the door into the snow. To say I was stunned would be an understatement. I guess I’ll never figure girls out.
Reg was standing nearby and heard the whole thing. You know, sometimes he can be a true friend. He told me not to waste my time trying to figure Ronnie out. He said, "Look at the big door that just opened up for you with Betty."
You know, he’s right. What a friend!

Hey Arch, thats weird, i know they made some news years resolution not to fight over you this valentines day so i think that rons attitude has something to do with that.

As a girl I'm going to tell you right now... you still need to get Betty and Veronica something even if it's only a small token of your affections... Something, somehow, will change between here and Valentine's Day... just be prepared. It doesn't matter what they tell you. :-)
