My little buddy, Arch is up to his eyeballs in trouble and he doesn’t even know it. This could very well be his last Christmas in Riverdale. What’s wrong? I’ll tell you. Archie is getting ready to buy Christmas gifts for Betty and Veronica.
Over the years, I’ve seen him struggle with this. But this year seems to be a particularly bad year for him.
I think he has a severe case of “gift idea block” – it’s like writer’s block, (when you can’t think of a thing to write.) He has a gift list started – I saw it - but it’s not very good. Actually, it’s lame. Under Veronica’s name he wrote – socks. Under Betty’s name he has – ice scraper. You can see where this is going. If he actually gives them those things, they’ll run him out of town. Forever.
Just thought I’d let you know what’s going on here. Maybe you can give him a little help. I know I would certainly appreciate it.

i mean it doesnt have to be a exspencive diamond ring!
but something that shouldnt be cheap, (that breaks etc.) or shouldnt be exspencive, (the thought is what counts)
but it should be something not costly, not cheap, memorable, but not ..and"ice scraper"! but they shouldnt be mad as pureheart said because at least he tries!

How about a beautiful bracelet for Betty or a diary/stationary set (since she loves to write in her diary). The problem is Veronica. What I meant by that is that she tends to like things extravagant, but she should understand that her friends can't afford to give her such gifts. So you can probably give her a small jewelry glass box or a messenger bag (if you are giving Betty a diary/stationary set.) Depending which store you buy them at, I'm guessing you can spend like around between $20-40 dollars for both their gifts.

Jughead,can you pleasee go to the post before and look at the ideas? And then remind Arch to pound them into his head. I think that's the best way to really get him to not give Betty and Veronica weird gifts.
Tell Arch that the socks and the ice scraper isn't going to solve anythying.I suggested some gifts he can give Betty and Veronica this coming Christmas. Hey he survived last Christmas, i hope he survives this one.=D
Veronica could always use the socks as sock puppets! that's fun!
and betty could use the ice scraper to....um....scrap ice....yeah
I sort of disagree and agree with you Pureheart. I agree with you that it IS the thought that counts and not the gift BUT being a girl I think something is wrong here. Now if Veronica NEEDED socks or Betty really NEEDED an ice scraper I could understand, but if they don't then Archie could just as well spend the money that he would have spent on the socks or ice scraper on a flower or maybe a card. Flowers say love alot more than ice scrapers and socks. The price of socks can cover that much expense and maybe have some money left over:)

Well, I don't think that the girls should expect anything or hope for a specific thing. At least Archie IS trying his best to get them presents. But the girls shouldn't get ANGRY if they don't like the present that they recieve by Archie, socks nor ice scrapper.
