So what you all are telling me is, that socks and ice scrapers are bad ideas. And cheese. And car parts too.
See, I knew that. I just knew it. Not that they are bad gift ideas…
I just knew everyone else would think they’re bad ideas… which means the girls would think so, too.
If it wasn’t for school I would leave town till February 15th. It would really make things a whole lot easier for me.

Arch, don't be so down. Its really not as hard as you make it seem. The girls aren't THAT picky! THey just want something thats more romantice than socks, icescraper, car parts, and cheese! They want somehing romantic and girly and special! A lot of people have given you ideas so take their advice!
;D Yeah, those ARE pretty horrible gift Ideas, you came up with, Arch! Just don't give up, and if Ron, and Bets give you obvious little hints, take them seriously!!

Gee, here's a thought:
Buy Ronnie a nice scarf or maybe a makeup bag.
Buy Betty a really nice picture frame with a picture of the two of you or a big stuffed animal.

Forget the whole jewelery idea, there is nothing wrong with it, but it is really overdone. A lot of girls get tired of getting jewelery for Christmas. What you really need to do is find out what the girls need. For example, Betty: if something is wrong with her car and she needs a part get that and something inexpensive and sweet like a homemade card with pictures of you two together in it.
Here is a list of no items:
Clothing (bad choice all around)
Jewelery (overdone, and they probably have it)
food (unless it's something homemade, that has meaning)
Suggestions:
something you make yourself
something cute
something sweet
a game (that you can play together)
something to make them laugh.

Uh- Yeah, just so you know, us girls don't like really, really
practical gifts. I mean sure, if it's something nice and practical
it's perfect, but I think that most girls like something pretty, like
jewelry, accessories, stuff like that- flowers and romantic gifts.
Perfumes, gloves, handbags, even hats and scarves, or
something cute :3 NOT stuff like: "Car repairing for idiots"
books, or some kind of tool, or socks. Get more exciting gifts---
but not too exciting, cause that might get a little weird :D

my mom this morning gave me a early christmas gift..she debated on giving it to me early..she new i would love it now =D
but she said this was the ONLY gft i get early..because she wants me to be surprised of course :)
but it was a jacket..and it had small black and gold guitars!!! and on the back it has a big black bow! yeah it can come untied...but it cant come off unless you cut if off but i would NEVER cut it off =D
that black and gold color is also the colors of our school colors

maybe they're good gifts for you, but not for girls...girls are different. maybe for one of the girls you can make a CD of her favorite songs.
arch, you don't need to give up. just listen to our suggestions. Trust me, the girls would be a lot more mad if you just gave up and did nothing than if you at least tried and gave them a bad gift. you can always ask one of their friends like Midge or Nancy for help. or like i said before ask Betty and Veronica for a list of what they want...and then maybe ask Midge or Nancy for help to pick something from each list so that both gifts you give are equally meaningful.
socks, auto parts, and ice scraper's may be stuff they need, but they'd rather just buy that stuff for themselves...not as a gift for Christmas. they'd rather have something they'd want (want and need are different) something romantic or meaningful.
like i said, don't give up, you've got to at least try. alot of people are trying to help you. listen to their suggestions.
