That's right Nicole!The special when Archie meets Archie digest book had the first ever Archie comic in it!Betty's dad looked really old!His name was J Cooper or something like that!And Veronica's mom was named Burton K Lodge!I never knew Ethel's names used to Zombie and Ophelia!Pureheart,how did you find out?Do you have Archie Comics#30?And why did they call her Big Ethel?She's not big!!Dilton's name used to be different too!It was a long name!I don't think Ethel is very pretty even to this day!She needs a touch of make-up!

I guess your ideas of "pretty" are different than mine, Pureheart! I remember seeing Ophelia once. I couldn't believe anyone could look as ugly as that! They used to call Veronica a sub-deb, and Betty's dad looked like a hundred year old man! That was the good old days.

*choke* I remember the first look of, Ethel! ((((Shudders)))) She looked HIDEOUS... that's when she really needed to get a call from Extreme Makeover... yuck. But her name, "Zombie" was later renamed to, "Ophelia Gleutenschnable." What a mouthful... that picture from her in Archie Comics #30 (From 1948) [Story: Patch as Catch Can] is very... mortifying. Later on her name "Ophelia Gleutenschnable" evolved to "Big Ethel." Super big changes to her looks right now, in my opinion. Wonder what Ethel thinks... I'd rather now know...

Hi, Archie. Hey Jug, the very first Ethel was actually quite pretty. She had black braids, buck teeth, and freckles. She wanted Archie, not you! Archie called her a zombie and mistook her for a guy. I don't know why she chases you now. Well, see you!
