Jughead here. I read Archie's post – looking for spelling mistakes mostly – and he's right. Nobody at Corporate asked anyone in Riverdale for their input before they turned Steven Butler loose with a box of pencils. As for MY new looks? I can let that slide. I've never been caught up in my looks, unlike a certain raven haired friend – and no, I don't mean Veronica – I was talking about Reggie.
The worst thing they could do to me is take away my hat – and I don't think THAT's gonna happen! All those years of running away from Ethel have made me pretty fast.
Arch and I were at Corporate the other day and one of The Suits said they were thinking of making me "vegan." I said, "No thanks, I already go to church with my Mom and Dad." The Suit laughed. THEN he told me that what vegan means – they DON'T EAT MEAT!!! Incredible! No offense to you vegans out there, but I AIN'T one!!! I mean, how could I live on just pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions? Okay, I guess fries are veggies, too, but I gotta have a burger… chicken… a fish every now and then!
Bottom line: If there's no meat on my bun, I ain't eating it.

Hey, MIca, I wanted to answer your question too... Well, Archie and the Gang don't call Jughead, Forsythe, because Jughead thinks (knows) that his nickname suits him. And everyone got used to calling him Jughead, Jug, Juggie, etc. It's like the Archie comic where Mr. Weatherbee asks all the teachers to call Jughead by his real name (Forsythe) which only led to disorder and chaos!

Don't get me wrong, I think vegans are cool- I'm a vegetarian myself, but I do eat dairy products and eggs, unlike vegans. I just don't think it matches Jug's personality. He's one of the biggest fictional hamburger lovers in the world! As for me, I think it would be a good idea to make one of the other characters that haven't been developed as much as Juggie a vegan; take, for example, Nancy, Midge, or Ethel. Betty's an animal lover- That's been established thoroughly- but there are probably hundreds of still-being-published stories in which Betty eats meat or has a scoop of ice cream. The same goes for Jughead. You might read one stry about Jug saying, "No 'burgers please... I'm a vegan," and in the next story he's gulping down a 'burger or in a hotdog eating contest. It would be too confusing- and there are so many comic stories about Jug eating meat, if they simply didn't publish them any more, there would hardly be any Jughead stories to print any more!

Hey, Iain. I need to tell you something really important. Jughead's hat (beanie) is NOT made out of paper. And it's NOT a paper crown. It's made out of felt, which is obviously grey. The two pins (red and white) on his beanie are said to have magical powers that attract women to him. Which he does not enjoy at all. In the show: The New Archies, which started in 1987, Jughead's beanie is pink and still has those two pins on it, but they're yellow. Oh, and in the show: The Archie show, which started in September 1968, his pins were still yellow. In the other Archie shows, his pins were still red and white, like in the show: Archie's Weird Mysteries, which started on October 2, 1999. Well, that's all I had to say. I didn't want you to think of the wrong facts all along!

This reminds of the time I found out that they made Cookie monster give up cookies and star. I have a disease and because of it,my body cannot digest vegtables very,very well.So,my mom says that it's better to be a live coward than a dead fool so,I don't eat a whole lot of vegtables.
